Life Is A Risk

in #hive-1538507 months ago

Life itself is a risk. Everything we do in life involves a level of risk and we do what we do daily just to get by.
I have heard of people who went into their bathroom to have a bath, but fell down and died.
I have heard of people who slept without any illness but didn't wake up to see the dawn of another day.
I heard the story of a man who was on his own, in front of his house, enjoying the evening breeze when a truck that failed break entered into his compound and crushed him.

My brother was with his friends in front of our neighbors compound fetching water when a car left the road jumped the gutter and hit him. The car was driven by another neighbor's son, who has never even learnt how to drive before. He was excited about his dad's new car and he entered the car to drive but he didn't know how to stop or control the car.

I have heard of a person eating but started coughing. They gave him water but the coughing didn't stop. He couldn't get to the hospital before he died.
I don't think there is anything we do on earth that is not risky. Life is a risk and we go through it daily taking the risk as it comes.

A number of times, I have been close to having an accident and God have been saving me but there is this one that sends chills down my spine anytime I remember. The thing is that I and my husband do not live in the same state. It's either I and the kids visit him on weekends or he comes around depending on our schedule.

So, we went home and spent two weeks during the holiday season. We planned to return to my place together for the weekend. We started the journey but there was a lot of traffic on the road. The journey shouldn't last more than four hours but we already spent seven hours on the road and we were all tired.

The day was already getting dark before the traffic got better. We continued the journey and the road became free. We were on high speed trying to catch up for the lost time but everything happened so fast holding the break all of a sudden, I didn't know how the car stopped behind a parked truck. It was a miracle that We didn't hit the truck with the high speed we were driving

We didn't know that there was a truck parked there and the road was really narrow. I was so scared. Only God knows what would have happened to my whole family in that car.

The whole experience made me realize that it's God's Grace that has been keeping me. No matter how careful we are, it's by His grace that we are alive to see another day. It's not by our power or might but by His Grace.

Calculated risks is key, you gotta think win-win even if you lose

Yes
Thank you

You are right their life is a risk, but still God keeps us safe.

Yes, my name sake
It's God that keeps us safe all the time. Everything we do is risky.

That was really close and it must have been so scary. Thank God for his continuous protection your life and your family's.

It was really scary.

It is my pleasure ma

You've said it all @aunty-tosin
Everything in life turns out to be a big risk and could end up taking one's life.

You can never be too careful in life
Everything we do in life comes with a touch of risk.

Thank God you didn't lose anyone In the process. it can be very how this truck owners just misbehave sometimes.

That's why over speeding somethings is not good especially at night.

Yes oh
I really thank God.
You can't be too careful
Thanks for stopping by.

You're welcome

Exactly, our life is unpredictable and we can't predict anything. This is how it works, we need to prepare for every upcoming situation happening in our life. calculated risk are the less risky way to avoid big risk in life.

You're very correct.

Thank you!

Very creative and intuitive, on one can speak of survival without mentioning our creator and his son our Lord Jesus Christ. Indeed life is an embodiment of risk, you can't say your living without encountering risk no matter how calculative you will surely skip an info.

Relating to your experience, I do see why you heart always skips when you remember that, you literally had your family legacy faced with total destruction that the Lord saved you all from, glory be to his name.

I do urge you, knowing it is not easy to control emotions, next time in anything you do express 80% self discipline demonstrating patience, as for the one who parked the truck didn't obey track rules according to your narration, one should always out the triangle stop sign to prevent accident. Thanks for sharing we are learning a lot.

Thank you so much.
God protects us all the time. We thank Him for that.
You're right about self control and discipline.
Thanks for your thoughtful comment.
