We Will Explode Soon

in #hive-1538506 months ago

I have actually heard of countries that regulate the number of children each family could give birth to and how it has helped their economy and the people at large. I understand that it is a way to control population and make plans for the citizens.

My country Nigeria, God bless my country!
Nigeria is a very religious Nation and the belief of her people about this topic is quite funny, thank God for Education, civilization, and exposure. The population of my country is one of the biggest problem my country is facing right now apart from bad government.
It is as if nothing is working.
The population of my country, is almost exploding. No one is talking about it in the way they should. The Government is only encouraging birth control instead of taking drastic actions. If we continue like this, the next ten to twenty years will be something else.

Let me tell you why I think a drastic measure should be taken. I teach in a public school, in one of the community of my state. Mind you, we have thirty six states and the federal capital. We have about fifty public schools in my division and my school is not the most populated. We admitted about seven hundred students into JSS1 this session. What does that tell you? Resources are hardly enough for them. The way people give birth in the community that I live is quite alarming. Giving birth is like a competition to them.

They are not satisfied even after giving birth to a fifth child. The most annoying part of it all is that they lack the resources of taking care of the children they just birth the children claiming that children will bring what they will eat from heaven. Have you ever heard that? Where does such ideas come from? These are children that the government gives free education but their parents find it very difficult to get them a pair of uniform but can organize or attend parties spending thousands.

As hard as the economy is presently, when you get to the general hospital on days when antenatal is going on, you will be confused with the number of pregnant women of my community. It is a very serious Matter. They are all scared of family planning procedures which they have never tried. They so much believe in myth and they are not ready to learn.

I believe that if the government states the actual number of children that each family can give birth to, it will help reduce the effect of the population because it's affecting everyone. The issues here are the fact that we are still developing and this country is very large. there are still villages that are not yet in the google map.

The situation in Nigeria is alarming when it comes to birth rate, the rate in Nigeria is over 5, which is not good at all.

It is really bad

It was quite funny when you said giving birth is like a competition but sadly it's the truth. Women proud with the number of kids they have and forget what it entails to raise them up. All they mostly end up saying is that God will provide when the children come.

Don't mind them.
Their mentality is so crazy and when you try to talk to them they tell you that you don't know what you're talking about.
