How March Went: Expectations for April

in #hive-1768749 months ago

March Started off well. My march began by getting invited to an Internet of Things Workshop at Bosomtwe Girls Senior High School to mark World Engineering Day 2024. There, we introduced the students to the STEMAIDE kit and the Arduino software.
I also got the chance to meet a very prestigious man, the president of Ghana STEM Network and IOT Africa.

Two weeks after the workshop, I went to the Hive Tech Conference held at KNUST where I met some hivers and the Hive Ghana community head. The program was both educational and entertaining. It was amazing.

A week after the conference, I travelled to Accra to go and spend a couple of days with my sister in Accra. Coming back to Kumasi from Accra I decided to pass by my alma matter where I was warmly welcomed.

March was mostly schooling; doing assignments, working on projects and preparing for tests and exams.
There were countless instances of power outages in March. Almost every day, the lights were put off at some point. It got to a point where they could turn the lights on and off two or more times in a day.

Sometimes it looked like they were just playing a game with the lights like how children do, turning it on and off for fun. It was that bad. We all called it "dumsor" literally translated "off and on". People started to complain about rotten food stuff and damaged home appliances.

I got invited to an Internet of Things hangout also in KNUST by a friend. This is where I met a lot of people who were deep into the world of AI and crypto. It was at this same hangout I learned that yes robots are going to take almost all our jobs always but the good thing is they are also going to create more jobs and so we have to be ready for the jobs they are going to create.

Now, March has ended and April has begun. I hope April comes with many good things; good friends, good memories and great opportunities.

Sort:

The whole issue about the robots thing is just so confusing. They say robots are going to take our jobs but where will those new jobs even come from.
Anyway, I’m glad you got to hangout with brilliant people, we hope for the best in April.

Wow!!
You spent the whole march buildin on yourself...that's something really good.
Well done boss💯..
