It was a few weeks of planning by the Student Council, coordinating with each of the Sections' Representatives per year according to the flow of what they have been discussing for their intended surprised program for the teachers. The idea was derived from the long absence of physical activities around the school caused by the pandemic. For over two years, the teachers and the students didn't have any physical interactions with each other. Now, we are finally able to do all of the things that were restricted back then. The Student Council, along with the students who agreed on it, have decided to give a little surprise to bring joy to our Professors and Instructors' faces and also a way of appreciating all their efforts on giving us all the considerations to keep our studies.
They have set a specific date wherein everyone has a free schedule and so everyone could partake. A small table in the middle was set with the foods on top for the teachers to have a seat, then they could eat while watching the program and let them be the judge of the following performances. The students were seated at the back to be the audience and also cheer with the performances of other students who offered a special number. Also, they were there to enjoy what the higher ups have on their plates to offer.
The program have started right away after all the teachers were seated. Only a few teachers have attended here, as you can see, because this was only for the Information Systems Campus Faculties. We don't have that much space here unlike other campuses to used as a convenient venue, so they opened two vacant rooms to make enough space for everyone. The program started leading by the students who sang a song dedicated for the teachers. Then, followed by dances which everybody enjoys to watched at and have laughed hard. Though the performances are quite enjoyable in the eyes of everyone, after all that was only intended for our department. The main campus, of course, wouldn't want to get left behind by a satellite campus. They also organized a program inviting all the teachers and students in all of the campuses the next day.
It was tiring for all of us to travel to another campus just for that but all of it became worthwhile when we saw the newly built building for our department. The school are planning to relocate our department here as soon as it will be finished. Looking at it now, it has all of what it needed except for one thing -electricity. There is no electric connection to the building as of now and the school administrators have foreseen it to be finally let probably the next year on the second semester.
This building is already in use by Business Ed students.
This one is supposed to be ours and we will be the first to use this building in the future.
This is where the venue of the event.
I thought that we would be going here straight in the Activity Center, so I was busy taking pictures here and didn't know where are my other companions. I was tasked to be here on duty as one of the Medical Corps and we will be stationed inside the center.
Then, the core commander pinged me up to go to the next building. I arrived here seeing them in a formation receiving instructions on how to handle the event properly and peacefully. We also have the a different formation. After we received the instructions, we proceed to the center and stationed ourselves to our designated positions.
A little while later, the program has started when the center has been slowly filled up with students. Sadly, not all teachers came and in our campus, only two teachers came to represent us.
The students still did their best to perform and appreciate the efforts of those who have spare some of their time to come. From wherever campus each representative was performing, all of the students regardless of their departments showed their all out support around the center. Some of the crowd were cheering, some were waving their balloons, and some lights up their phone's flashlights for some effects.
The one with the loudest cheers from the crowd was when the school's coordinators stood up, grab a partner, and danced while a student have been singing a ballad song in the front. Everybody was enjoying to see these old teachers keep up with the hype of the young people.
It wasn't just pure performances from the students to entertain the teachers but some messages of appreciation, and a lot of games for them. Not to brag, but our department won in each of their games despite the lack of contestants.
Anyway, the most important of all was that they teachers felt that we appreciate their efforts in teaching us and we made them happy at the end of the event. On my part, unfortunately, there were two NSTP Applicants who were on their duties that almost passed out. We had responded immediately to them, and gladly they had recover their normal strengths before the event ended.
This may be posted later than the prior date of the actual celebration but still I want to thank all of the teachers out there who are always giving their best to teach young people who are eager for learnings. Happy teacher's day also to those people who are not teachers in profession yet still teaching us the knowledge that we should know to improve ourselves in others aspects of life.
