Flip A Page, Enjoy The Scent.

Convenience couldn't beat the addictive scent of each pages...

Hello to my fellow minimalist hivers! I'm back after almost a week of hiatus. Classes and trainings have occupied my schedule again and it's hard to keep up with everything new this year. Gladly, I can still breath with a mountain high pile of back logs and upcoming events. So here I am, emptying my crowded thought by writing it up and joining the fun of prompts as well.

I started with paperbacks and it's been a habit ever since. The different scents of every books and everytime I flip their pages is addicting that I couldn't get enough of it. Especially when I get hooked with anything that I read, I would trade my sleep just to finish reading the book and know the ending of the story. Perhaps, that was where my eyesight started to get poorer overtime but still, books became my life. It became a part of me that I couldn't eliminate in my system.

Vividly, I can remember that it started with a classic book I found in the library and the unfamiliar words and the interesting plot of a novel caught my interests. Since then, I learned to love reading for I can expand my vocabulary and have as much reference for the imagery I'm improving in my writeups. Literature, languages, and self-help books made me who I am today. Perhaps, my love for them has become my identity already.

Everywhere I go, a book inside my bag is one of my go to things. Whenever I feel drained, I'll just buy a drink, sat in a peaceful place, plugged my earphones, and open a book. It's a kind of recharge that I need from the chaotic world behind me. My escape from everything and my refuge from the depressing walls at home.

There's a joy that I couldn't put into words whenever I touch a page. A kind of excitement that escalates quickly , falling deeper into a void that could lead my imaginations into another world. A world, wherein any genres are welcome in my mind, and any of it made me feel alive as if I found my purpose of living in my darkest hours — to create a world from imaginations through words.

As many book lovers could have possibly wished, I also dreamed of becoming one of the writers. Where I can translate my ideas into a work where I can look back on anytime, and share it to the world. So far, becoming one of the bloggers here is what I have achieved and it sparks the passion in my soul somehow to just continue even though I have strayed far from the real path.

It was a classic habit with another negative implication for some to see someone like me to carry a book oftentimes. There's a thing called convenience, why not shift with the technology? Well, I have those actually, but it's more of a preference where you are most comfortable with. I'm having a great time with paperbacks, so I'll stick with it.

I prefer physical books too! I want to enjoy my reading time without the sound of notification ringing from my phone

It's more enjoyable when it's peaceful indeed. 🤗

Start with why is a great book from Simon but apart from the book, I resonate with you where book is quite an escape although these days I am starting to switch to e-reader since I haven't stock any new paperbacks in a while now.

How I wish I could have that love for books as you do. When I was in college, the only book that I have read, cover to cover, is the Little Prince. I can't keep my focus when reading books because of how long the story goes. But I am learning to read books so that I can write more.😊

Ohh. That can improve when you discover a good plot of a story, where it will hook you up until the end just like when you read The Little Prince.

It's nice to stop by sometimes.

Though I'm currently in a reading slump, I prefer paperbacks too over kindle or hardbound. 🤍

It's more of where you can read comfortably, I guess.

I hope you could achieve your wishes of becoming one of the authors of these great books yane. I believe you can!

Still working on that. Thanks for dropping by, Ate.

The aroma of physical books is indeed an addictive one an e-book can't even compete with it, I actually prefer physical books too.

Truee! 😊
