How are you, Foodie Hivers?
I hope you have eaten what you are craving for, 'cause I did after months of planning. Unexpected trips are truly the best!
One fine Saturday afternoon, I received a guest and was invited to a dinner by my cousin @ecelyam05. If I recall the last time we ate outside together was during her birthday last year; that's why I agreed this time and pulled out from my duties at school. Food trip is our priority at this moment.
From the main campus, we jumped off at downtown; and walked for few minutes, passing by the SM and before we can cross the intersection going near the gates of Baywalk, we have been stopped by a pair of working students who said that they were selling Baywalk tickets as a Summer Job. They sold it to us for Php 25, and that was Php5 lesser than the gate price, so we bought two tickets from them and showed it at the gates.
The main scene as we entered the perimeter greeted us with the hues of yellow, red and orange. Such a picturesque view if I may say, a beautiful mixed of bright colors in the skies as its canvas.
There isn't much changes, honestly. The love booth, photo booth, and the playground are still the same. The kiosks and food chains were still there but gradually increasing as well as the visitors. Also, there was an ongoing event at their center stage as we looked for a vacant table at the Samgyeop foodchain.
Gladly, there were tables available at that hour. When we went here on Fria's birthday last time, I meant to treat her for an unli samgyeop but there were no tables available when we came. We even waited for an hour but the place was still full and some were queueing outside as they were patiently waiting for their turns. Since our stomach were not as patient as theirs, we ordered pizza and iced coffee instead in the nearby stall.
We've paid our orders and watch the beautiful sunset on the sea. Dry season is still there; and due to high heat index, some classes were suspended, but after an entire day of scorching heat and warm humidity, it gave us a colorful ending. And, that's why people flocks here every afternoon.
They are that same food chain at 888 Chinatown Premiere Mall where went to back then, who are serving spicy and not spicy pork strips, a bowl of rice, lettuces, raddish and kimchi as the side dishes along with the Gochujang sauce.
In there stall here, they are strictly charging for leftovers and that includes the lettuce and side dishes, not just the meat.
As we were cooking the meat, we watched the fleeting sunset disappears and as the twilight paints a memory and covered the entire place with its hues. However, the beautiful scene didn't last much longer as it was completely changed into a starry night and the half moon later on.
There was still a beautiful sight remains to behold aside from that sunset, though. That was the feast before our eyes!
Before this, my mood fluctuated; so I wasn't vibing with the colors that much, gladly, I still took some glimpses. After a while of eating and engaging conversations, I was back at my usual self. I even ordered a bottle of Soju but my cousin didn't like the Grape-flavored one, so I took it home instead.
This episode only happens once or twice a year, and thrice at most. It's worth to be written down on my blogs as hive becomes my life journal.
