Remember the good old days when your friends doubled as your personal stylists? I'm talking about those hostel days when we were all each other's fashion gurus, ready to dish out some serious style advice. If you were unsure about your outfit, all it took was a quick call “how far, this outfit go?”, and you'd have your crew of fashion experts right there, eager to help. You could count on getting the latest fashion insights from your very own Vigil Abloh or even a spontaneous "Yo, I've got a belt that would rock with those shoes! Make I go bring am, let’s check it out" It was like having a fashion-forward family at your disposal. Oh, how I miss those times!
This weekend, as I was preparing my best for church, I found myself in a fashion dilemma. I couldn't decide which of my two pairs of blue jeans to wear. So, naturally, I turned to my two trusty fashionista friends and sent them with pictures of my options, seeking their opinion. And and of course they responded !
To my surprise, both of them favored the pair I least expected. I couldn't believe it. I even questioned their choices, convinced that the darker jeans would be the superior pick, considering the color of my top. I had to prove my point. Lo and behold, after they reevaluated and scrutinized the pictures once again, they finally conceded that I was right all along.
This little fashion debacle reminded me of how much I long for those close friendships we used to have. The hustle and bustle of life have scattered us across kilometers of distance, making those impromptu fashion consultations a thing of the past. But mark my words, the day we reunite will be filled with endless banter, laughter, and, of course, fabulous fashion advice.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take a picture of my outfit to share with you all. Let's just say I didn't quite have the courage to ask the cleaning lady to snap a picture of me. But enough about my fashion conundrums, I'm curious, how do you handle your own style dilemmas?
Do you rely on the opinions of your trusted friends or perhaps you possess an innate sense of fashion flair? Maybe you take the virtual route and immerse yourself in the vast ocean of fashion inspiration on social media platforms like Instagram or Pinterest. After all, who can resist the allure of discovering fresh outfit ideas and trends?
Remember, at the end of the day, fashion is all about self-expression and embracing your unique style. Don't be afraid to take risks and push the boundaries of what you feel comfortable wearing.
