Samos is a small Greek island opposite the Kusadasi Dilek peninsula in the Aegean Sea.
The first thing that comes to mind when Samos Island is mentioned is the famous Greek philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras. As being Pythagoras' birthplace, "Samos, also known as Samos Island, is the last clean, orderly, and green island.
Samos, which has a history of 3000 years, is one of the 12 Ionian colonies.
Blue, green, yellow, and fragrant, this island is naturally much greener and more flowery than other Greek islands. Therefore, beekeeping is advanced.
The island has become a frequent destination for Turkish citizens, thanks to its proximity and visa to the door.
If you like summer, the sea, and you want to travel a little, I think Samos is cut out.
We stayed at the Paris Beach Hotel in Ireo, 5 km from the island Pythagorion. Our hotel's price was fair.
I think the port of Pythagoras is ideal for a stay. It is especially beautiful in the evening.
Kokari and its surroundings would also be great for a stay.
Apart from a sea holiday, if you want to be on the island and photograph, renting a car is a must.
Let's take a look at PLACES TO SEE IN SAMOS.
PITHAGORION:
You can visit the side streets of Pythagorion with beautiful houses, cute shops, delicious restaurants, and cafes.
The statue of Pythagoras is located at the end of the harbor. There is a very beautiful beach at the back of the statue. You can also swim in the sea from here.
There are cafes, restaurants, and shops throughout the port. I can say that especially seafood is very delicious.
You can also visit the archaeological museum here.
There is a very beautiful castle in Pythagorion. There is a cemetery in front of the Castle of Lycourgos Logothetes, built in 1824 to protect the island and a church next to it.
KARLOVASI:
The sea was perfect in Karlovasi, which is ideal for those who want to rest their head and retreat.
If you go to the west of the port, you will come across Potami Beach. We loved it.
VATHI:
It can be called the capital of the island. The Pythagorean square and the lion statue are among the sights in Vathi, which already has the appearance of a city.
KOKARI:
Kokari, which is a very cute fishing town, which we love very much, is really perfect with its beaches and coves.
Tsamadou and Lemonakia beaches are especially worth seeing. The right side of Tsamadou Beach is the nudist camp, for your information. There are 2-3 beautiful facilities on the left side.
MORATHAKAMPOS REGION:
It is the southwestern part of the island. There are also Kampos beaches here. You can also swim here if you want.

SAMOS MOUNTAIN VILLAGES:
MANOLATES
This charming village in the north of the island impressed us a lot. A little past Kokkari, you go up 3-4 km to the left towards the mountain, and there is no car to enter the village you go to. You can park your car and walk around this cute village.
There is also a very cute church in this village.
PYRGOS
Located right in the middle of the island, Pyrgos is a charming village famous for its honey.
PLATANOS
Unfortunately, we do not have time to go to this village.
MILI:
We passed through this village on our way to Pyrgos.
You can also cross from this island to other islands. You can also evaluate this.
Samos Island, Manolates Village, Kokari, Pythagoras, Tsamadou Beach and its sparkling sea are engraved in our memory.

YUNANİSTAN’DA MÜTHİŞ BİR ADA; SAMOS:
2019 Haziran ayında, 4 gün kaldığımız Samos Adası, Ege Denizi'nde, Kuşadası Dilek yarımadasının karşısında bulunan bir Yunan adasıdır.
Samos Adası denince ilk akla gelen, ünlü Yunan filozofu ve matematikçisi Pisagor oluyor. Pisagor'un doğduğu yer olarak da bilinen Samos, diğer adı ile Sisam Adası son derece temiz, düzenli, sakin ve yemyeşil bir ada.
Geçmişi 3000 yıl öncesine dayanan Samos, kurulan 12 İyon kolonisinden biri imiş.
Mavi, yeşil, sarı ve mis kokulu bu ada, diğer Yunan adalarına nazaran doğal olarak çok daha yeşil ve bol bol çiçekli. Bu sebepten de arıcılık çok gelişmiş durumdadır.
Deniz mahsulleri bakımından da oldukça zengin olan ada, ülkemize yakın olması ve kapı vizesi sayesinde, Türk turistlerin uğrak yeri olmuş.
Yaz aylarında, denizi de seviyorsanız, biraz da gezeyim diyorsanız, Samos biçilmiş kaftan bence.
Biz adanın güneyinde Pythagorion'a 5 km mesafede, İreo'da Paris Beach Hotel'de kaldık. Otelimiz oldukça ekonomikti.
Pythagorion limanı da kalmak için ideal bence. Özellikle akşamları çok güzel oluyor.
Kokari ve çevresi de konaklama için şahane olur.
Deniz tatili dışında, adayı gezeyim ve fotoğraf çekeyim diyorsanız, araç kiralamak şart olur.
SAMOS’DA GEZİLECEK YERLER’e bir göz atalım.
PYTHAGORİON:
Güzel evlerin, şirin dükkanların, leziz restoran ve kafelerin bulunduğu Pythagorion'un ara sokaklarını yürüyerek gezmelisiniz.
Pisagor'un heykeli limanın sonunda bulunmakta. Heykelin arka tarafında çok güzel bir plaj var. Buradan denize de girebilirsiniz.
Limanda da boylu boyunca kafeler, restoran ve dükkanlar mevcut. Özellikle deniz mahsulleri çok başarılı diyebilirim.
Burada arkeoloji müzesini de ziyaret edebilirsiniz.
Pythagorion'da çok güzel bir kale bulunmakta. 1824 yılında adayı korumak için yapılmış olan Castle of Lycourgos Logothetes Kalesi'nin önünde mezarlık ve yanında da bir kilise mevcut.
KARLOVASİ:
Kafa dinlemek ve inzivaya çekilmek isteyenler için ideal olan Karlovasi'de, deniz mükemmeldi.
Limanın batısına doğru giderseniz, Potami Plajı karşınıza çıkacak. Biz çok sevdik.
VATHI:
Adanın başkenti denebilir. Zaten bir şehir görünümünde olan Vathi'de Pisagor meydanı ve Aslan heykeli görülecekler arasında.
KOKARİ:
Çok şirin bir balıkçı kasabası olan, bizim çok sevdiğimiz Kokari, plajları ve koyları ile mükemmel gerçekten.
Özellikle Tsamadou ve Lemonakia plajları görülmeye değer. Tsamadou Beach'in sağ tarafı çıplaklar kampı, bilginiz olsun. Sol tarafında çok güzel 2-3 tesis var.
MORATHAKAMPOS BÖLGESİ:
Adanın güneybatı bölgesidir. Burada da Kampos plajları var. İsterseniz buradan da denize girebilirsiniz.

SAMOS DAĞ KÖYLERİ:
MANOLATES
Adanın kuzeyinde bulunan bu şirin köy, bizi çok etkilemişti. Kokkari'yi biraz geçince sola, dağa doğru 3-4 km yukarı çıkarak gittiğiniz köyün içine araba girmiyor. Arabanızı park edip, yürüyerek bu şirin köyü gezebilirsiniz.
Bu köyde çok şirin bir de kilise mevcut.
*PYRGOS
Adanın tam ortasında bulunan Pyrgos, balları ile meşhur ve yine şirin mi şirin bir köy.
PLATANOS
Bu köye gitmeye vaktimiz kalmadı maalesef.
MİLİ:
Bu köyden de Pyrgos'a giderken geçtik.
Bir de bu adadan diğer adalara geçebiliyorsunuz. Bunu da değerlendirebilirsiniz.
Samos Adası, Manolates Köyü, Kokari, Pisagor, Tsamadou Beach ve pırıl pırıl denizi ile kazındı hafızamıza.
Her seyahatte olduğu gibi, Samos'dan da çok güzel anılar biriktirerek ve mutlulukla döndük evimize.
