Hey guys, @baby.magic here and I'm back with another story that will surely put a smile on all of your faces. But before we get to that, I just wanna say thank you to everyone who read my last article, I didn't expect it was gonna be a hit. So thank you, you know who you are.
Although my other articles are just as funny if not funnier though. But you be the judge of that. There's a link of it at the end of this post.
Now, let's begin..
My son (Coco) and I don't live in the same area because my wife works in a different city. So we only talk via FB Messenger and a couple of days ago when I was chatting with him I asked for a picture of himself 'coz I was gonna use it in this article.
So I waited for him to send me his picture, right? But it was taking too long so I decided to check on other people's post on Hive.
I was reading some articles and then I realized that an hour had passed by so I went to check on him to see if he's already sent me his selfie.
I checked....
...and there was nothing.
"Why am I not surprised. He's doing it again." I said.
One thing you need to know about my son is that, if I tell him to do something and he's doing something else. I don't expect him to do it right away. But eventually he would do it.
But if it was his Mom, he'd do it right away.
Mama's Boy!
So I just went back to reading articles.
The next day, I've totally forgotten about the picture 'coz I was so busy promoting my newly posted article "My Cousin Tells Me I Should Work for NASA" and I was doing some house chores too.
Yeah that's right, I do house chores 'coz that's where my cigarette money comes from.
An Intro for Cigarette Money for Chain-smokers
I'm actually thinking of making a sign that says..
WILL WORK FOR CIGARETTES.
You know,...
... just in case.
Now back to my story.
So Saturday comes and there's a new message from my son. And like any good father would do, I check on my son to see what's up.
And I saw his selfie.
Now, I've totally forgotten about this so I was a bit confused unto why he would send me a selfie and so I read our previous conversation and I remembered that I asked him for a recent picture of himself.
I also remembered that this was (Thursday) 2 days ago..
... and it was already Saturday.
It took him 2 DAYS before he decided to take a selfie of himself and send it to me.
2 Freakin' Days!!

If it was his Mom, he would have done it right away.
Yeah I know,.. I know... he was in his mother's womb for 9 months and they shared the same umbilical cord but I was the one who planted the seed.
Children can be biased sometimes.
But I love my son, even though he doesn't always do what I tell him to do.(Not right away that is)

Now, I wanna share to you a funny story about my son and I when we were still living under the same roof. We were in the living room and this is how the story goes...
So I went to the living room to watch TV and I see that my son was lying there in the sofa playing his video game.
[Sounds familiar? if you've read my intro then you'd know what i mean]
I noticed that the remote was near where he was. So I told him...
Me: Hey son, can you pass me the remote?
Coco: I'm a little busy right now Dad.
[playing his video game]
Me: But it's right there, it's like 1 feet away from you.
Coco: (Ignoring me while playing his video game)
Me: You don't have to get up. Just pick it up and throw it to me.
Coco: [Pretending he didn't hear what I said]
So it's always like this with my son. He always makes me wait before he'd do what I tell him.
So I waited...
[Video game music playing in the background]
And waited...
I was looking at him and he looked like he had no plans at all on giving me the remote.
So I just gave up and get the remote myself. And I said to him..
Me: So I guess I have to do everything in this house, MYSELF ha!?
A little irate I turned on the TV and changed the channel to sports. And then I placed the remote close to me.
So I was watching a game(basketball) when my wife joins us and she tells me..
Wife: Can you change the channel?
I wanna watch K-Drama.
So I told her...
Me: I'm watching a game. Maybe later.
[Insistent on watching her show she goes to my son and says..]
Wife: Coco honey, can you please pass me the remote? It's a bit far from me.
And my son was like..
Coco: Okay, Mom! Just give me 1 sec..
And my son stops playing his game,..
stands up,....
gets the remote...
and gives it to his Mom.
Coco: Here you go, Mom.
Wife: Thanks honey, you're an angel.
Then my son goes back to playing his video game smiling.
Me: Wait, what? What just happened?😮😮
Confused about what I just saw I asked myself, "How the hell did she do that?" The remote was like 5 feet away from him.😲😲
When I asked him for the remote earlier it was just 1 feet away from him but he still wouldn't do it. But with his Mom, even though it was far from him, he'd do it right away.
And I wasn't even bothered that my wife changed the channel to her Korean drama show, I was just riddled.
So I was thinking about it for like 5 minutes trying to figure out how she did it and I said to myself maybe because my wife asked him nicely.
So I thought I'd give it a try.
[So I ask him nicely]
Me: Coco honey, can you please get me some water? Im a little thirsty.
D'you know what he said to me?
He says..
Coco: I'm a little busy right now Dad. Go get it yourself.
[Hearing my son's response got me really disappointed.. so I wanted to give him a sermon.]
Me: 😠😠You know you really shouldn't talk to your father like...
Wife: Oh, stop it! I'll get it for you.
Me: 😠😠That's why he acts like that 'coz you're always taking his side!!
Wife: He's just a kid. What are you gonna do about it?
So I looked at my son and all I could do was grumble.
[GRUMBLING]
"If it was me, it's..
"I'm a little busy right now Dad"
but if it was his Mom, it's..
"Okay, Mom! Just give me 1 sec"
I just don't know how Mother's do it. Even if you ask your kids nicely they still won't do what you tell them. Unless of course we used
[I was in the middle of writing this article when my Father called me and said..]
Photo taken from my phone
Dad: Hey, Carlo!
Me: What?
Dad: Why don't you make yourself useful and go wash the dishes.
Me: I'm a little busy right now Dad.
[Then my Mom joins the conversation]
Mom: Carlo, honey! Can you please wash the dishes for me? I'm a little tired.
Me: Okay, Mom! Just give me 1 sec..
?
Dad: Mama's Boy!
[Dad grumbling in vernacular]
