I cannot remember the last time I was present again but damn, July was so hectic!
I've basically been traveling almost every weekend and have been on random trips whenever time allows it. So now, I finally have time to breathe and write because there aren't any more trips planned and I can finally get all the photos we took from the digi cam XD
Also, I got an instant promotion this month, so that's been adding to my stress and my busy-ness!
Since there's just o much to catch up on, I decided to start at the very start of the month, and that's when I visited baguio with my cousins. It was crazy because we could not agree on anything and we en up cramming the trip plans and we ended up bringing along our other cousin.
We departed from Manila on the 27th of June, actually. That was a Friday and we met up at the bus terminal that had baguio trips.
We boarded the bus at 11 pm, it departed at 11:30 then after that, we all just pretty much knocked out because we were all working adults. The trip was actually way faster than we had expected because we arrived there at 4am. Then the check in time for the condo tel we booked was still at 2pm, so we really couldn't decide what to do for the next few hours.
We opted to go around the souvenir shops near the bus station for a while because we thought it would be a good idea to get souvenirs already before all our money goes to food again. And being in baguio... of course everything is either strawberry flavored or strawberry shaped, including these cute pastillas candies I bought.
These were the first few shots I took there. One was the sunrise at 6am then the other was the famous session road sigh, but I wanted to do a grunge esthetic for instagramposts XD
Then for that day, we just spent 2 hours at a cafe, went extreme thrifting at the market then asked if we could check in early, to which they allowed.
Me ready for a really long nap because we had no more energy left, but we wanted to go see the night market.
We really didn't end up eating as much as we thought we would at the night market though, but we did continue our extreme thrifting because you have office girlie's that need slay office outfits ^^
Second day... we really didn't do much then. We all woke up so late, almost noon, actually. I do think this is what young adults do when thy aren't slaves to alarm clocks, they just sleep in like we did.
We did head to Grumpy Joe's which is a pizza place that was ginng popularity these days.
Then we were planning to go see the other tourists spots, but we got caught in really heavy rain by the time we reached the mall. So... with nothing else to do, we continued shopping and extreme thrifting because.. why not? I think we may have spent almost 70% of this trip just shopping because by the end of the 2nd day, our bags were much fuller than when we arrived there.
I do think the 3rd day was the highlight of the entire trip. We all woke up at like 5am on the last day, got dressed then checked out of our condotel. We were back in the city by 7am and the fun part about it was that session road was closed up. It became an avenue for artists. Whether it was chalk art, paintings,, music, everything was there! They even had little shops by the end of the road and it was just so much fun. I think we spent a lot of time there before our trip home, which was scheduled at 12:30 pm.
As you can see, I spent a lot of time drawing on session road too. I was actually really happy because I've never drawn anything so big before, and with such a light palette too. It was a really enjoyable experience and I think people should experience this at least once in their life, to be a little vandal XD
Anyway, this is all from me for now. Expect a lot more travel photos and travel blogs throughout my July! Until next time, guys!
