So I've been quite distracted from writing again XD most likely because I just spent my entire weekend drawing and napping again. Sorry not sorry but I really deserved all those naps after such a grueling hell week. Anyways, I'm back again to art bomb you guys becausse I made 4 drawings over the weekends and I forgot to write about it again XD
I swear, the difference between having to draw and having to write about something is just beyond me because both require a substatial amount of energy for me.
So for the 15th drawing (I skipped day 13 and 14 cuz it felt like I'd take forever drawing a kaiju and a cyborg), I simply wanted to draw stuff I could speedrun in maybe 2-3 hours cuz I had other stuff and naps to take care of.
So I went with a cute slime that was supposed to be a water slime, but since I'm working with pens, I could not get that clear effect I wanted so I ended up with an ice slime XD
Duration: 2 hours flat
Materials: Blue and black ink, blue pen, chalk, white gel pen
I swear, it's just so cute! even my man agrees and he rarely thinks anytihing is that cute XD
I feel bad though that I didn't take enough progression shots of this because of my hyperfixation tendencies.
I feel like everything I'm working on is really a preview to inktober now cuz September is almost ending and I'm starting to look for ideas for inktober but some words from there cincide with the prompts I'm working on XD so idk, I think I have to make a new drawing for those.
Onto the progression UwU
Here is typical me's habit of working on inking 2 pieces of paper at the same time so I could alternate working on both pages if I had ink drying time on my hands. Unfortunately for this drawing, the areas I had to add another ink layer on weren't on my working side so I could continue on this without much interruptions XD
This is my drawing part with just the blue pen for now. It was already cute like that, but since I was working on a slime monster, I had to give it the characteristic slime glow XD
I was trying to give this slime an irridescent effect, actually but it didn't look like it was glowing when I started highlighting it.
I mean, the head kind of looked like it was glowing a bit, but idk, still lacked the glow I was looking for.
And I sort of lost my mind trying to smooth out the texture, but since nothing was working for me, and my sister peaked in and said it looked like a ice slime, I took it as that, and that's how I ended up with an ice slime.
This has been all the energy I could spend writing today! I hope you find the slime cute too! I need to really catch up to my prompts, to art park and to splinterlands soon but omg how can I!!!! I have work ;;A;;
Let's hope the next few days are as peaceful as today cuz I need that temporary calm in my week ;;-;;
See you on my next blog, guys! Thank you for stopping by!
