There is nothing wrong with the fact that people periodically want to be on the seashore breathe in the clean sea air and feel how the sea breeze brings with it billions of water drops like a refreshing aerosol.
Everything is special on the seashore the sunrise and sunset look different everything seems brighter and even the music mixed with the sound of the waves sounds different not like usual.
But desire is not always something that can be realized at any moment circumstances can interfere with this but no one will stop me from drawing my dream which I did on March 30 of this year drawing the seashore presumably a beach in Jamaica during sunset which slowly sets behind the horizon to the sounds of reggae.
Ernest Hemingway had the opportunity to travel thanks to having citizenship of the world and I have such an opportunity when I have a blank sheet of paper and pencils.
And this time I decided to go to Jamaica where I have never been, but I have heard about this interesting country.
In principle you can get your feet wet not far from home somewhere in a lake but this is not exactly what you can dream about.
So, I have an open-ended ticket to Jamaica lol in the form of a blank sheet of paper and the journey will begin as soon as I apply the first stroke of graphite.
I have heard more about the seven-mile beach near Negril a town on the coast of Jamaica but I don’t know what the west coast looks like and may the natives of this sunny country forgive me if I make some inaccuracies in my work this is just my fantasy.
So, I think that the beach will not look like the shore of a reservoir where I periodically rested and fished lol.
The first thing I started to depict on paper is what I don’t like to draw, but without this character the meaning of the drawing will be lost therefore I started to draw a man who sitting on the coastal sand quietly plays reggae guitar and sings something under his breath.
Once I saw what turbans and other fashionable headdresses in Jamaica look like but apparently I’m not the best hatter in the world and my version of a headdress may not become so popular in Jamaica.
Reggae is calm, thoughtful, no fuss music essentially it's the Jamaican lifestyle that I wanted to see in my drawing.
I would like to walk along a Jamaican beach at sunset with my wife and kids I think it would be an unforgettable experience.
The most important moment has come, when either the drawing will become the way I intended it or I will ruin everything and this is the moment when you need to create the atmosphere of the evening and sunset.
In the end I had a good time in Jamaica and enjoyed both the sunset and the sounds of reggae that I heard in my mind every second while working.
This is the case when I can share not only my drawing but also the reggae music written and performed by my children and this is the reggae I heard in my imagination.
More to come!
