Greetings to you all and welcome to December!ππ
"What's a girl without a scarf, a shawl or a bandana?" This was what I thought when I saw the December initiative for the #hivecollectors community. Although I had been invited by @luchyl, I had long been interested in participating especially when I read a lot of tote bag collections post here in this community. I'm so glad to finally be participating in this months initiative (first timer here).
Scarves, shawls and bandanas
I don't have much bandanas but I'm not short on scarfs and shawls. I like to use scarfs as a form of adornment for my hair especially when I'm going to church. Sometimes when my hair is acting all frizzy and coarse, having a scarf at hand can help me tame it π.
My shawls I use whenever I want to spruce up my look and general appearance. I also use shawls on cold days as a protective cover for my neck when I want to go out. Since I'm allergic to cold weather this is a handy requirement for me. Shawls keep me warm and safe from the cold.
Like these red and white shawls in the picture above were bought by me. It wasn't on Valentine's day like you're thinking but just for the beauty and warmth they bring. I love to combine the red shawl with the white scarf on a black ensemble to brighten up my look.
The flowery patterned scarfs above were bought for church purposes. I like to combine them with different attires when I'm attending church services on Sundays. I also lile the purple patterned one the most as it is a reminder of my alias π.
Last but not least are the black guards. Well that's what I call them anyway. I also use them to tie up my hair when I'm yet to braid a hairstyle. The black guards also come in handy when I'm attending church services and I'm at loss for what to combine and wear. After all, black goes with anything.
Tha black scarf is my most used of all my collections.
Before I pen down for this post, I would also like to talk about this sun yellow scarf which I use as a moufla on many occasions. The bright yellow colour has a way of bringing out my look and cheering me up too. It is the smallest scarf in my collection but also my favourite. I combine it with white, cream coloured and black outfit ensembles. Since I love bright colours, this scarf is one of my keepsakes. It ain't going nowhere.
P:S: Hearty cheers to my daughter who helped me with the scarfs arrangements so that I could snap as many pictures as I wanted.
Thanks for reading...shalom
