All over the world, different people are doing one kind of job or the other. Some of these jobs are very risky and dangerous while some are boderline safe. I mean that they pose no threat or risk to health or life. Living this life is risky because even tomorrow is not promised but there are certain jobs that are too dangerous for me to even think of applying for such a job.
Irrespective of the pay or income involved, I would not take on any of the dangerous jobs I am going to be sharing below. Not now and not in the near future.
Sone of the dangerous jobs that currently exist are what I will be sharing in my blog today.
#1. Stunt double.
The work of a stunt double is to cover for an actor or actress especially when they are to act out dangerous scenes during a movie shoot. The irking thing for me about this job is that the stunt double is not famous like the actor or actress but yet they face the risk and dangers of several scenes in a movie shoot.
I watched an interview where Jackie Chan was asked about using stunt doubles and he replied in the negative. He told the audience that he acts out most of his scenes himself because that helps him connect with the roles he is acting out. He also hinted at how dangerous being a stunt double or body double as they also refer to it is and you will agree with me that this is fact as sometimes, Jackie Chan gets injured while trying out some stunts.
#2. Miner
This is another dangerous job that I won't bother trying to take on. Firstly, the fact that they work in caves, digging and drilling in order to get some precious resources is scary to me. Some of these mines are subject to natural disasters occuring and such diaasters could occur while the miners are at work. Disasters like earthquakes, mine collapse, fire outbreak and more could occur.
#3. ** High rise window cleaners**
Here is another scary job for me. I am so acrophobic and can't stand some levels of height.i know that there are safety harnesses for this job but some malfunction could happen and pose a risk to the workers. Imagine cleaning a window at a height of more than 80 storeys or even a hundred storeys. Wow, that is a lot but if you put me up there, then there's gonna be a problem.
I recall a movie I watched some time ago where a young man who worked as a high rise window cleaner fell from a height because the conveyor belt of the lift in which he was on while working, cut off without him noticing it. He fell but luckily for him, he landed in a garbage bin full of dirt and trash, which helped to cushion th effect of his fall and that was how he was saved from death. I can still recall how terrified I was for him even though I knew that it was a movie. Phew! that was a scary one.
I salute those who are employed in the above listed jobs but I won't even think of trying for such a job myself.
Thank you all for reading..shalom
