My box of goodies 😁💃

"If someone had told me that I would be receiving a mouth watering package yesterday, ,trust me, I would not have believed it".

But there I was smiling from ear to ear, unable to explain how this package got to me or what I did to merit it. It was a total surprise. I got this package at about 9pm yesterday and it came from my immediate younger brother. Turns out that at his place of work, all the staff contribute some certain amount of money for a "welfare program". He told me that they start contributing the money from January and by December, the welfare committee would go to the market and get some basic food items and share it evenly to all the workers. This would serve as a relief and a plus for the workers during the festivities.

While he was explaining this to me on the phone after I called to acknowledge receipt of the package, my mind kept on wandering to how thoughtful such a program is and how it would aid these workers in the long run. My brother even said that he didn't commence from January like the others but he joined them in April but yet, his own allocation was mouth watering still. According to hom, the sharing of the food items was done today and he sent it my way today also.

I kept smiling from ear to ear as he went on to tell me that he wanted me to have this year's own since he had no wife to give it to 😁. In my mind I was like "before nko" you want to pass me by ni 😁.

Anyways, I'm so grateful that he thought about me and the mouths I'm feeding over here and he decided to send something wonderful. I can't wait to share what was inside the box with you all, so you will all understand why I said mouth watering.

After I opened the package, my eyes met with various food supplies, some seasoning cubes, tomato paste and some frozen protein.

The first items were 4 packs of Mama's pride spaghetti and a few packs of chikki chicken noodles.

Then there is a pack of knorr chicken seasoning cubes, which by the way are my absolute favourite.

Followed by 15pcs of small Sonia tomato paste and a medium sized Sonia tomato paste too.

Then I also saw a one litre bottle of Golden Terra soya oil. This is actually a jackpot for me. For those in Nigeria currently, you don't need me to say how expensive vegetable oil is presently. It is a no go area for many people and some have started switching to palm oil for cooking their foods.

The last but not least is the protein. I saw some frozen chicken drumsticks and some turkey wings. If I were to give an estimate of the entire package, I guess it would amount to about twenty thousand naira (#20,000), if not more.

I am so excited that my Christmas goodies are already arriving and it is not even Christmas morning yet. Now for all those who can locate my residence, feel free to stop by and let's enjoy the goodies together 😜😁.
