PIC 1000 : The valedictorian.

What do you see?

I see a young boy, probably in his late teen years. He is clad in a black suit ensemble and he is holding a valedictory gown, flung to his back. He is walking along a lonely and dusty road.

What do you feel?

I feel the sense of accomplishment oozing from his swagger steps. He can't wait to finally flip his valedictory hat in victory. He is taking confident steps towards his goals.

Story

Today is the day they have all been waiting for. The day that the seniors would finally say goodbye to high school and onward to college. Dennis couldn't wait to finalize his speech. He had been working on it since the day his teacher told him about his likelihood of being the class valedictorian.

Dennis was a nerd but a handsome one without glasses. He was admired by the girls and envied by the boys in his class and even his juniors but he was unfazed. He kept a clear head and he never toyed with the feelings of the numerous girls that flocked him like bees to honey.

As he sat there in front of his mirror, a smile lit his face up and made him appear more handsome. He knew his parents would be so proud of him, were they still alive to this day.

His parents had died in a car accident three years ago, leaving him to fend for himself but with the help of some good townsfolk, he was able to still attend school and now he has successfully completed high school without a dent to his name or reputation.

"It's gonna be alright Dennis. You've got this!" He exclaimed to his reflection in the mirror as he finished knotting his tie and adorn the final piece of his black suit ensemble.

Finally done dressing himself, he stood up, left the house and began a confident stride to Beacon hHigh School. He would be leaving after today but for now, he walked with a slight swagger to his steps as he flung his valedictory gown behind his back. Nothing can stand in his way to the top.

Thank you all reading.

Wow, what a good story. I wish his parent were alive to witness this great day of his.

Yeah, me too.

Thank you 🤗

His determination and support from others paid off. It's a pity his parents weren't alive to celebrate this suspicious day with him.
Well crafted story.
