I had another successful brawl – except for one battle where I got totally smoked by a Quora that was just so perfectly played it was beautiful to lose against it :-D
By the way, we’re recruiting in our Guild due to a lot of inactivity – if you’re interested (or maybe your whole guild wants to merge?), you can write me on discord or comment. Info below.
Battle 1: Not spectacular, but a win: Battle 1
Battle 2: Fled
Battle 3: Click here for Battle 3
We had a poisonous ruleset and melee mayhem, so the Forgotten One was the obvious choice for both of us. Knowing that, I used my Krash/Rage combination with Krash in the front, since he can avoid quite a few attacks. I used the Dragon spirit with Rage as well, since it’s immune to poison. Vruz for Martyr, and the slime to slow the enemy down and be able to do damage before him. The enemy did a great move using Fina, an amazing summoner. They also used two martyrs around the Forgotten One. It was a very interesting and surprising battle, for example when Fina just got a martyr bonus to get enough damage to kill the dragon spirit – but missed with 9 speed to a 6 speed flying. In the next round, it killed Rage – but it was too late.
Battle 4: Battle 4
Very interesting one. Range only, but also opportunity and amplify. 34 Mana, Fire, Water Dragon – so no Ilthain. Due to opportunity, I went for melee+range combo monsters, and chose Tarse because of that. The opponent had a similar set up, but a different order and Kelya. The extra armor was a bit annoying, but no problem in the end. The +1 melee was the differentiator in the end, though it was a close one – might’ve lost if not for a miss.
Battle 5: Battle 5
Earthquake neutrals! My strategy with Arkemis in the front to for extra armor (against earthquake) and halving was a great idea, even though the enemy had more flying monsters.
Battle 6:Battle 6
Boy did I got beaten up! Quora surrounded by martyrs, and the Scarred Llama as summoner – Quora with 8 speed and 24 life, healing 8 life. Even though I lost, I found this battle so hilarious that I entered it to the SBT community and both my opponent and I got some SBT for it :-) Check out @sbtofficial for more info!
Battle 7: Battle 7
Very similar line-up – and the first time I used the Dragon Egg Forager. I won because I focused most of my damage on Sneak and Opportunity, and therefore killed the opponents backline before they could do much damage to my front line. Also, there was a slight difference in levels – for example my barbarian lvl5 had Retaliation, which made a difference.
Battle 8:Battle 8
Double Gladiators! Plus Snipe for everyone. Since after picking my cards, I had 3 Mana left, I took the Merdaali Guardian with Weapons training to see if it still counts as snipe-victim. It does. Still, the Martyr between the gladiators made my team kind of invincible, also due to trample. And thanks to the Lurker, who again proved himself extremely valuable, dodging one big attack, and then a gladiator attack while having 1 life – just to be healed afterwards. Nice was also the double-kill in the end.
So far! I had a good time brawling again, and we got stunning 4500 Merits and roughly 35 SPS. I got another legendary card from the Merits, one that I always wanted - Fina Voxom. Opportunity, high attack and speed and decent life. A beast among the Gladiators :-)
