I took the week off, so I'll be chilling for the most part. I've got some activity lined up for the week but it's largely related to badminton and nothing fancy.
Yesterday, I turned 32 and spent the day watching football with my friend. I really didn't have much else I wanted to do.
On the plus side, a grossvenor pub close to my house was selling Carlings beer for $2 a pop because of a promo, so it worked out fine for my celebration. I drank a fair few pints while watching the game.
@blanchy may not be happy about yesterday's results but he can take solace in the fact that his team had more ball possession and played a high line. That's what's most important for Spurs these days and well, there's a birthday moral lesson there for me.
The lesson is that no matter what happens in life, Spurs will always live in our shadows because they're our lil brothers. We came from Woolwich and took over their land.
Okay, away from football banter though, I actually had a calm day afterwards. After drinking a fair few pints at grossvenor, I walked around the city center, fed pigeons and then came back to the pub for a few more.
One of my friends that I haven't seen for over seven years came around and we explored the city center. Personally, that's not my thing because I'm genuinely not interested in anything these days but it was nice to get some sun.
The only sad part of the day was that my wife was under the weather and couldn't walk around with us. She actually enjoys exploring the city and would have actually enjoyed the activity.
The weather was kinder than I expected, so I didn't feel the accompanying misery that comes with the cold. Overall, it was a nice an quiet birthday.
