Eagerly anticipating

I sent out an internal job application for a trainer role and I've still not gotten any communication concerning the role. According to the post, it would take around five working days to get back to applicants, and since I applied in Friday, tomorrow would be the final day.

Work has been going on as usual. Passing probation has made life feel a lot easier but I still want to change roles as soon as possible.

Moving to the training department would be my first step into management. Getting a role in that department will allow me use some of my latent skills in communication and teaching as a whole. That in turn would then be applied to my team that I manage in the future.

I intend to give myself at least one more year before chasing management position. I believe that in that time, I'd have gained enough experience and understanding of the role to pursue positions in management.

The training role isn't my only path to a management position though. I also intend to do some courses in leadership and management that will put me in a better position and allows me to standout amongst my peers.

Anyway, for now, I'm just patiently waiting to hear the outcome of my job application. If I don't hear anything between today and tomorrow, I'll reach out to the recruitment team as we're expected to do after five working days. Fingers crossed.
