Quiet weekend

It has been a tedious week for me and I'm just glad to see the end of it. I haven't started working from home as of yet and the company is changing their posture concerning it.

Now, there's no doubt that I will eventually work from home. However, what was advertised was that it'll be in 7 weeks and there were no terms associated with qualifying for it.

Sadly, it's been two months and the company has added new terms or should I say requirements to work from home.

That has added extra pressure to me and once again, contradicts everything that was advertised. In any case, this is the reality of the labour market and dealing with pressure is part of the experience.

Anyway, I've explained my current situation to my team leader and explained in simple terms that I simply cannot afford to come to the office every day. Once I've run out of money, I'll simply phone in and tell him that I cannot come to work because I cannot afford it.

Anyway, away from work now, right now, I'm just sat at home, playing call of duty. I'll be making shawarma in a while and then back to playing game all day. I'll get some drinks before I start, then run it and just chill for the rest of the weekend.

You know how to make your own shawarma? Wow, that's a skill I would love to learn because I like that snack very much 🥺

Hopefully they let you work from home soon! It indeed sucks to have to commute so far and spend a fair bit of money to do so but it’s important to persist.
