Come and visit this other village in the French Alps: Morzine

Hello dear friends of the Full Deportes community, I hope you are having a beautiful day. This time we will walk through Morzine, a village near Les Gets. A beautiful place full of mountains, green, snow and beauty everywhere.

The village is about 15 minutes away by bus. The bus costs €1,50 each way and the scenery is beautiful, so the bus ride is the beginning of the adventure.

I wanted to try to climb the mountains of Morzine, but when I went, I forgot the pass for the chairlifts, so I decided to go well around the village of Morzine.

As you will see in the photos, I was walking around various corners of this place. It is a bit bigger than Les Gets, so I found it extremely attractive.

While looking for a supermarket, I passed by restaurants like the Tibetan Café and three very attractive ones. In addition, I stopped at the tourist office, where I asked for information on how to find routes for hikers on the mountain.

Then, I walked in the opposite direction to where the small center was, intending to explore a bit more of this place, but on the outskirts. Also, I wanted to find a path that would lead me to Les Gets on foot (I didn't find it, so I took the bus back).

At that, well on the outskirts, I found a cheese shop. It was very similar to the cheese shop in Les Gets, but had a much more commercial style, as you could see the cheeses from the outside and the window display invited you in. Of course I didn't miss my chance.

The cheeses were presented in different sizes, many of them were huge and attracted a lot of attention.

They not only sold cheeses in this place, but also other dairy products, salami and wines, a drink that goes very well with these snacks.

Afterwards, I decided to go again to the most dynamic part of town for a coffee and to wait for the bus back.

I had my coffee in a place called Le 19.38 café - bistrot in front of the tourist office.

It was simply an espresso with a lime pudding. Very tasty indeed, plus the service at the place was spectacular and I sat at a bar that had a view outside, so that was also a delight.

Then I finally went to the Spar supermarket, which was close to the cafeteria and bought some things I don't get in Les Gets, like lactose-free cheese and some particular chocolates.

And after that, I went back to the bus station, which was leaving at 16:12. I couldn't miss it, otherwise I would have to wait another hour.

This excursion, although the trip is very short, can be long due to the frequency of the buses, which is, as I mentioned, one hour.

Morzine can be reached from different places and is one of the largest ski centers in the Rhône Alpes region of France.

As it is a bit bigger than Les Gets, it has more bars, pubs, aprés (the places where people go to have a drink after skiing), and it also has a wider offer of shops.

The walk between Les Gets and Morzine is not long either, leaving something like 2 hours, but as far as I know, you have to walk along the road, and there are too many curves.

I hope you enjoyed this walk dear friends.

Doesn't look like much skiing was happening in the village when you went. When was it?

😂 absolutely, it was specifically on December 24 th. Everybody was waiting for the big snowstorm, worried for the season. But it arrived, we had snow for Christmas (in Morzine and also in Les Gets, that is where I am right now, very close to Morzine as I mentioned)

Muchas gracias!!

Un hermoso lugar. Lo amé. Me gustaría ir a visitarlo

Así es, es muy bonito!! Gracias por pasar!
