Iām not big into politics at all, but today I went and submitted a ballot. I honestly didnāt think Iād be getting out to vote in this yearās election, but I made it!
In American politics each election is āthe most important election everā, but this one really does feel differentā¦
I was a young child during the Bush v Gore election but this feels like the most significant election Iāve experienced since then. There was just something in the air that during the Bush v Gore election that I couldnāt fully grasp but I understood there was a different weight to that election, and this one has a similar feel.
Up to this point Iāve said it looks like a 50/50 election to me. I have an idea of who I think will win this years election, but my previous prediction on who would win the past 2 presidential elections have been wrong soā¦
The options that we have for this 2024 presidential elections are what they are. Sometimes as Americans we might have to get in a voting booth vote a way that we donāt back 100% but at least we get āoptionsā even if the option are all shitcoins.
But either way, no matter who wins, Trump or Harris, the reviling of the results and events following immediately afterwards will be interesting.
But the best part is that after itās all said and done, weāll get a break from all the political ads, the political coverage, and some of this cultural passive aggressiveness and assholery can be put to restā¦
