Currently, I feel the world isn’t in a better place because there is war happening left and right just like what’s going on between Russia and Ukraine, Gaza and Palestine and it’s looking like there may be more of this soon. I’m not pessimistic but we all can predict.
About the war happening in Russia and Ukraine, I guess the world tried their best to put it to an end but it didn’t succeed. At the same time, I feel the power blogs didn’t do enough to end this war. Well, I won’t be surprised to see China and America go into war. I’m smelling it but I don’t ever want that to happen.
Now, my question is: Is your government doing the appropriate thing? Here in Nigeria, we heard today that the senate signed a new bill that we should begin to use our former national anthem. It’s a good one but that’s not the next thing to do. The country is currently not in a good state and a lot of people are complaining. People are getting more jobless everyday coupled with the fact that so many people were jobless before. Also, the rate of kidnapping in the country has increased and these kidnappers are making it seem like a means of income so that they can collect some ransom from the family members of those who the have kidnapped.
Also, there is an association called Boko Haram in the country and they work exactly like how ISIS operates. What they do is make sure they bomb places that there are so many people there because they feel those people are infidels. Isn’t it crazy? All of these things are happening in the country and the government of my country thinks the best thing for them to do today is change the national anthem. The country isn’t even united but they feel that’s the best thing they could do.
What would you call that? Misplaced priorities, right? I’m very sure that they know the right thing to do but they have chosen not to do it because of one reason or the other. I’m sure that it’s because of the money they may want to embezzle. It’s really sad and crazy. It’s funny how so many Nigerians complain of how bad Nigeria is and they feel the best thing they could do is move to another country.
I believe that other countries are also going through some problems or the other. There are some countries that face mass shootings almost all the time but what is the government doing about it? They even pretend like they are doing us some favor but they are all lies. I read a few things about the relationship the WHO has with COVID but they were acting like they really wanted us to be safe which were all lies.
What’s actually wrong with the world? Have we lost it? Have we lost human feelings? It’s really sad and the most painful thing is that our leaders are not doing anything about it.
