It's been a little time since we talked about AI agents but with metas most recent update we are seeing AI agents come front and center once again.
Just a quick snapshot for myself. I have to say I have yet to find any AI that's really blown my socks off in terms of what it can do. Most Image based AI's still have a hard time in generating what you want and can take hours to get right and there's plenty of smaller cases where it just doesn't work at all. Video AI is expensive and oft times has issues as well. About the only thing I like is chatgpt and that's for finding step by step instructions, idea brain storming etc.
Now the other area where AI makes sense is via agents for shops online. They can quickly take the data from the site and shop and present good quality answers to potential customers. However I feel like there's a level in to which this is affective or not. The first step is that if you're a small shop with a few products you're most likely better off with AI agents as it's just another distraction from your customers buying your product. However if you have a larger shop with a good deal of inventory it can be helpful for pinpointing potential customers directly to the product they are searching for thus improving the conversion rate.
AI agents however are geared to do more than this. Think of things like goals, actions towards those goals and interact with things like flights, scheduling and so forth which would be "automated" and free up our time.
Now there's a lot of AI tokens these days in the crypto space. Some that are just scams, some that are just built to try and capitalize on the trend but others that seem like well built AI projects. In fact I started to mine a few of these myself while they are sub $0.10 each because ya never know!
Some of these projects use GPUs and simply let you "loan" out your GPUs processing to be able to compile reports. What will be interesting is with the introduction of AI CPUs just starting to come out if we will see a new mining type setup algo that will use these new AI cores and if these AI cores will then be the next asic style chip. I'm starting to lean towards a yes on this within the next few years so in a way processing some of these tokens now could be like processing bitcoin tokens back in 2011 like I used to do.
What are you thoughts on AI, crypto AI and the next evolution of it all?
