Trump Wins? What's Next For Crypto

in #hive-1679229 days ago

Well apparently late last night and for sure this morning bitcoin and the stock marketed liked the outcome. While it's not "official" it seems pretty clear that trump is going to be winning this one and be inaugurated on Jan 20, 2025 is the planned time so far.

At the moment the official reporting is 224 Harris and 277 trump but others are putting it at a final count of 312 to 224 making it a rather large gap honestly between running candidates in terms of electoral votes. In terms of popular vote Trump came out decently ahead as well with 71.3 million votes and Harris at 66.4 million votes. It's still pretty wild to me how divided the country still is but it feels less this time compared to last.

The other big vote takeaways so far are also the house and the senate. While all of these votes are not in yet it seems like the republicans have locked in the Senate but the house is still up for grabs so far.

Now I couldn't find the graph so I'll just spell it out instead. When the house was divided or heavy republican the stock market did 9% or better. When it was democratic it did 4% or worse. So so far this is looking like a very very bullish next four years in terms of the stock market and crypto.

Now that's not be going all political on people it's legit straight up statistical facts that if the house is divided it does best and then if it's heavy republican it doesn't good and if it heavy democrat it greatly under performs. It's just what the numbers say people lol

Bitcoin

So far we are seeing very aggressive pushes on the upside for bitcoin. This is just general outlook already though and things being priced in ahead of time before he's even put into power.

This may continue for a bit longer but I honestly expect another sell off as roughly 2-3 months is a bit long to wait until the new president is brought in.

What Might Happen Next

What's always interesting to me is when someone becomes the president just how much they act on what they promised.

Some of the major things I think we are all looking forward to are the following.

Gary gets the F outa here and hopefully also the SEC commissioner that kind of tells Gary what to do. With them gone and someone more pro crypto in there finally we could finally see some solid groundwork for businesses to start operating on and build crypto once again in the USA.

Crypto gets adopted into the country and the government starts buying it. This is going to be an interesting one because it very well could trigger a race for other countries to start gobbling up as much of it as they can as well thus triggering a mega bull run. I've always said the ultimate catalyst and pretty much end game for bitcoin is when countries around the world start to hold it in their treasuries.

2025 for sure should usher in a bull market in both the stock market and crypto markets. But of course anything could happen such as world wars and other wild things leading to a repression in a market rally.

What I do know is there's now a solid chance for a bull run now for crypto and the stock market compared to before and a lot of positive things now heading towards the industry.

I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed when he follows through on pretty much zero of his promises.

I think our chances of a bull run certainly improved with his election. Gary has got to go finally! A friendlier SEC chairman would be a nice change. BTC and the stock market both liked the election results, maybe BTC may take a run at 100K. Things may get interesting!

When the house was divided or heavy republican the stock market did 9% or better. When it was democratic it did 4% or worse.

I didn't know this. Things might look good from this point of view then.

Let's see where it brings us, for crypto it's a good thing for sure, as an European and Trump kinda being anti NATO is worry some I think, but most politicians talk a lot and don't DO a lot after they get elected.
