Dumplings are amazing homemade comfort food. We can fill them up with just anything we like, but I choose plums this time as we were blessed with loads of plums this year.
Ingredients:
- 200 g of wheat semolina
- 500 ml of boiling water
- 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 100 g plain flour
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 250 g of plums
- 30 g of breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons of coconut butter
- sugar to taste for coating
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
Preperation:
- Boil wheat semolina for a few minutes in salted boiling water.
Add a tablespoon of coconut oil. Mix thoroughly and leave to cool down. - Mix in the flour and vanilla extract.
- Divide the dough into 10-12 equally heavy piles.
Add a plum to each pile.
Shape the piles into balls using flour.
- Dumplings are cooked in slightly salted water. Let them simmer for about 15 minutes.
- Fry breadcrumbs in coconut butter.
- Top the cooked dumplings with breadcrumbs and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon or drizzle with syprup.
