Greetings fellow Scribers 🤗
Hello everyone 🤗! My name is Daisy (Margarida in my native language) and I'm coming to introduce myself to the Scholar and Scribe community through the encouragement of @dreemsteem and to participate in another wonderful @dreemport challenge 😁.

I'll be honest with you, dear reader, always! I'm a bit nervous (note to self - I guess most dreemers are) about this particular challenge and throughout this post I'm sure I'll be able to explain why.
👀 If you wanna join or know more about the dreemport challenge check this and this posts 👀
My favourite dessert 😋
But before we skip to the hard part, let's relax a bit and possibly salivate at the computer keyboard (note to self - yes, literally, let's hope) 😆. Luckily our first task of the next three weeks is an easy one and that is - describing our favourite dessert 😋😋 🙌!
First, I think it's important to say I have a VERY sweet tooth, I just love sweets and especially anything that involves chocolate. So much so that I'm going to share with you one or two funny situations.
When I was a kid I used to sneak around and eat candies and chocolates all by myself, without sharing (note to self - still don't like sharing my chocolate 😤, but I will, like the good adult my parents raised me 😂) .
I used to hide the wrappers of the chocolate from my parents thinking they wouldn't ever find out... We are talking about an 11-year-old girl here, ok? Well, the thing is, I used to hide them behind the heater... And I think there's no point in saying that by the time winter came, my father had quite the surprise 😂🙊.
However, my favourite dessert, surprisingly, has NO chocolate whatsoever 🙀!

Hehehe, hope I got you there, dear reader 🤭🤭! My top dessert is from my home country, Portugal, and it's called Bolo de Bolacha. The literal translation would be a Cookie Cake (note to self - I know right??? I'm looking like I had a stroke here! 😋😋)
So, what is this mystical dessert that I prefer above all others that have chocolate on them?
Well, unfortunately, I couldn't find any free images of bolo de bolacha to share... And I even texted my best friend that makes this amazing recipe to ask if she had any photos 😭. Otherwise, trust me, you would be salivating with me right now!
Therefore, I guess I have no other choice than to try my best in describing it (note to self - this must be an omen, this being a writing community and all...)
This traditional portuguese dessert is very simple and it only takes 5 ingredients. According to this portuguese cooking website, you will need a specific butter cookie we have here, called bolacha Maria, butter (note to self - yes, more butter) , sugar, 2 egg yolks and freshly made coffee.
I mean, it's just heaven! You first make a fresh bowl of coffee, then you will dip the Maria cookies into said liquid gold and layer them to make a bottom. Then, with the butter, sugar and egg yolks you will make a sort of paste that will go on top. And so on and on, finishing on the creamy part... You will then, top it off with more Maria cookies shattered and across the cake, going to the fridge until solidifying.
An infinite cake with multiple layers of cookies tasting like coffee and creamy, VERY sweet past to boost! I got a tell you that is not many people that I know off that likes the traditional recipe. Nowadays, it's very common to find fake versions of Bolo de Bolacha containing heavy white cream or chocolate for the creamy part.
Maybe my good friend @blanchy tasted this dessert I'm talking about on his trip to Vilamoura 🤗. It definitely wouldn't be a dessert I would recommend to anyone who doesn't love a sweet taste, because it is extremely sweet, border lining sickening sweet.
In conclusion, and to convince you that this is the best dessert EVER, I prefer this above chocolate and that in itself should say everything 🤤. Additionally, not only is it a traditional dessert from my country but also brings me back some lovely and cherished Christmas memories with my whole family together, happy and united.
Plus, I mean, butter cookies with coffee?! Just try it 😋😋. (note to self - I already wrote the coffee word wrong so many times in this post, that I'm thinking I should cut down a bit on that 😅)

Now to the hard part 🙈
After all of this, I hope I got your saliva dripping (note to self - Ok, that sounded weird) , because I've been on the blockchain for only 7 months now, and I'm still trying to get the hang of this ☺️. Yes, I still consider myself a newbie.
I have never written fiction before, and even my current writing has been a very recent joyful discovery. I've seen around the #scholarandscribe community and even met a few people already by reading a few awesome posts. But I never joined in, mainly because I never saw myself capable of writing a made-up storyline...
So, I'm expecting this to be a VERY challenging challenge! I enjoy writing and I have no problems with expressing myself (note to self - for the first time in my life) , but building a story from scratch? Nothing comes up to mind... Total blank.
Therefore, for this first week at least I planned to introduce myself (note to self - yey, almost done! Bear with me!) , and for the next couple of days, I'll try to leave my mind open and see if something comes up. Thankfully I already received some pretty awesome advice and encouragement from fellow dreemies, so I'll honestly try.
However, I'll not force it and if by friday I come up empty on that creativity lightbulb, then I'll just have fun by reading other's hivers posts. Migh as well take advantage of this opportunity to meet new like-minded people 🤗.
Who knows? Maybe by the end of week three, I'll do something I've never thought possible 🤞🤞 (note to self - no pressure though!) .
Final notes 💭
If you made it till the end, thank you so much for bearing with me 🙌🙏. I hope I get to meet you, interact and have fun with you, dear reader 🤗.
It doesn't have to be a full post on this dessert - but convince us WHY THIS IS the best dessert
P.S: Upppps 🙊🙊, sorry @dreemsteem! Ok, if it were a short-story challenge it would be even worst for me... 😰😰😳😳
See you around 👋
