VALUEPLAN THE NUMBERS.png

Following on from my post on Valueplan's largest marketing campaign , the rally car and the positive feedback I have received. You can find this post here. I have decided to do a series of posts on some of the Valueplan's numbers just so the Hive Community knows from a financial perspective and a cost analysis what is going out. We see from monthly reports the enormous amounts that are being funded by the DHF into Valueplan so this post delves to break this enormous figure down so that we can all see the exact numbers involved. Marketing projects such as the rally car are great.

"Hey, look at that photo of the rally car flying through the air. Great going you guys. Knock them dead! Great Job"

But when you put a cost on these projects then the reality hits and people tend to maybe second guess whether Hive as a Community should have spent major funding on a certain project. Some of these projects are great ideas. I had a great idea too a few weeks ago to change my back garden. I then received a quote to do this, As soon as I got the quote and nearly fainted, that good idea was put back in it's box fairly quickly.

I have cranked up a spreadsheet and populated the sheet with Valueplan's payouts per user per month. I The sheet is broken up into payouts in Hive and payouts on HBD. I have taken HBD at $1 peg ,as more often than not, it was at peg if not over it over the last 4 months. The Hive USD value is taken by the Hive monthly average closing price throughout the given month. See below the average for each month.

Hive Closing Monthly Price Average
January: $0.3321
February : $0.3199
March : $0.4153
April: $0.3513

Hive Payout by User from January 2024 to April 2024

I already spoke about the rally car in Part 1 as it is by far the largest outlay by Valueplan. But what else and who else are they funding for certain projects. Please bear in mind that Valueplan do have a quarterly report which you can find here. Now that we know what will be funded , we can take a look at the numbers involved in each project. All figures are taken from Valueplan's wallet since 1st January 2024 until 30th April 2024. Anything outside this scope is for another day. There are a couple of refunds from contingencies not spent from May but I will refer to them at the end of Q2. This post is not trying to call anybody out. You got the funding. Fair play to you. This is a report is for transparency in a decentralised platform. People moan about Hive having no marketing. Well this is it. I have graded the accounts the are regular Valueplan recipients by colour for ease of reference by the way so the colours are random. The accounts not colour coded only received 1 payout.

The top ten accounts have received over $18,000 USD over the last 4 months. We have the rally car which I wrote about, various Hive social media and marketing promotions by Crimsonclad. Aguas Santas is number 3 which looks like a professional handball team but there is little written on this as of yet. Our Gym Street Workout is in at number 4 receiving over $41,000 for their gym bar performances in different locations. We have the hackathons at number 5. A new addition to the Valueplan initiatives. Hive Sucre and the WooConventions are number 6 and 7. Crypto events in Paraguay are number 8. A rally car payout to a different user is number 9. And we have the rally car photography and the Vibes Music Initiative at number 10. So you can see they are getting more diversified in their projects. At number 11 we have a new motorbike racing initiative led by one of the members of the Street Gym Workout crew so best of luck to them on the new project branching out into the world of motor racing. So without further ado let us delve into the numbers.

Below is the breakdown by month for each user

So there were 42 recipients between January and April 2024. Most payments are in HBD by the way with the exception of some rally car payouts and what looks to be Hive payouts to Binance for marketing purposes. There are a couple of admin payouts as well that were in reference to the rally car. There was 332,168.12 HBD in funding allocated and also 653,946.75 Hive allocated to user accounts. In total this is coming in at just under $600K dollars in 4 months. $575.243 to be exact. From a numbers perspective I am beginning to notice that if a user gets funding then the next time that they get funding , it is always for more and not less whether they have underbudgeted for the costs involved, maybe the location of the event is further away or whatever but it is but just something to watch.

Refunds

To be entirely transparent I have looked at the incomings also. Many Valueplan payout have giving out with a continency fund included in the payout in case of any unforeseen costs. In most cases the contingency is used but some users do give back their contingency funds which is great to see. You can see in the descriptions in the wallet which accounts these are. So below is the list of incoming transactions back into the Valueplan wallet. These tend to be smaller amounts but it is important no less that we look at these as well. The refund from Hivefest was given back which takes up the majority of the incoming funds.

In Summary

So there we have it. Quite alot to go through. It is good to have a clear picture of the spending by Valueplan so we will not kick up as much fuss when the quarterly reports come out. If anything this post will help Valueplan and the feedback the whole project. Looking through the figures I do think there should be some sort of cap or spending limit on some of these projects. The arguement is that there then will be no major marketing campaigns if there is a spending limit but I am not so sure about this.

Part 3 will delve into the Account Value of the accounts that are funded. It is a complaint I have received from a number of users DMing me on Discord that some funds are going to accounts that have very little skin in the game from a HP perspective. So we will look into this to see if this is the case. Again I would like to stress that I am not pointing fingers. But seeing as we are talking so much about being "decentralised" we need to be aware of the centralised decisions that are being made in our Community so hopefully this post has given people a clearer view of the numbers behind the projects.

I go read it two times to be sure what I see 👌☕☕☕☕

I hope day cool there .

I had to read it 4 times to be sure what I see. haha

😏👌👌👌☕☕☕ ... look you have coffee also when you read long . I hope this Valueplan works all time also,

And how you see this idea ... if it does not work valueplan ? 💁‍♂️ , then how user should behave what work when it has failed?

In my opinion we should hire a marketing company ( one that get results to promote us digitally with the likes of Tiktok , Instagram and put some of the finds behind this. At least then we can see the results from a monthly report around how many users clicked to sign up etc because at the moment we do not know any metrics on user sign up from events or conferences and considering the price of Hive at the moment and the CoinmarketCap ranking , it would suggest that we are failing miserably.

Uh.. Hive is soon up , this not make problem , but problem makes valueplan when it also not help first plan 😅😅... but I see also what you mean ☺
