Hive is constantly fluctuating in price but unless the price increases by a couple of euro or dollars ,most of the Hive Community don't give a hoot about what the price of it is. They normally try to convert their HBD into Hive as soon as possible and go off about their business with whatever project they want to support with their liquid Hive.
A recent study revealed that the average Hive community member spends 18% of their time waiting for their HBD order to transfer into liquid Hive. Unless the Hive price is very stable it might take the order anything from 3 minutes to 4 and a half weeks for the position to be filled.
"It gives me fucking anxiety waiting", claims one Hive community member who decided to remain nameless.
"I just keep hitting refresh on Peakd like a woman possessed until the liquid Hive has appeared in my wallet."
"At one stage I pressed refresh more that 1000 times."
"People say that doing the same thing over and over again is a sure sign of insanity but I need this Hive to swap for Sim so I can build a virtual nuclear power plant in dCity or buy Dec so I can buy a Chaos Legion pack."
"Peakd doesn't help the anxiety either with it's stupid wallet that always plays tricks on me."
"If I see one more red error in the right hand corner, I'm gonna throw the laptop out the window," claimed another source.
"If you have to go back in and delete your order and do the trade again, it is a sure sign of weakness and the ultimate act of shame," claimed a Hive whale.
Some clever Hive members opt for the third lowest ask rather than the lowest ask in a bid to get their order filled immediately but it still takes a couple of minutes to come through on the Blockchain and by this stage some other fucker has purchased the legendary monster card that you were trying to buy.
A Hive newcomer fell into the "Convert to Hive" trap in his Peakd wallet yesterday and now has to wait 3 days for his Hive to come through.

To try and alleviate the HBD/ Hive anxiety we have come up with some quick fire ways to spend your time while waiting for your Hive to come through.
Go to the Toilet.
In the majority of cases, after going for a number two, your Hive will be safely in your wallet by the time you flush and wash your hands (optional). This method is used by 95% of the Hive community.
Curate some posts.
This is not a very common one. Although this can be done while on the toilet.
Go on Discord.
Head over to one of the servers and see what some whinger is moaning about this time. By the time you back scroll to the start of the argument and grab some popcorn, your Hive will be in your wallet.
Keep Hitting Refresh.
The old faithful. If you blink hard and hit refresh again legend says your order will go through faster. Pressing back on your browser is an alternative way. Some old timers turn their computer off and on again. Not recommended although going to a different platform to check is also not recommended.
Log onto Hive Chat.
Usually to chat to the Hive Chat dev as everyone else is over in Discord. Frank is a nice fella and he has a great recipe for Thai curry.
Check what latest excuse for the polyCub delay is.
Fast forward around 20 minutes in to the weekly Leo AMA and you should get your answer from white hoodie guy. By the time you find out then your wallet should be full of Hive to convert into bLeo.
Make some food and take a photo of it.
This can be used for a later post. Alternatively you can take a photo of a leaf. This works too.
Do a Splinterlands Quest.
This should be done as a last resort. You only win a couple of potions but it's better than HBD anxiety.
Learn Chess , Poker , Backgammon , Snakes 'n' Ladders in anticipation for Ragnorak.
This is for the long waits if the price of Hive dipped immediately after you put through your order.
It will be worth learning Greek mythology while you are at it.
