Dear Art Appreciators,

These are two abstract artworks representing tulips in a farmhouse jug, randomly picked from the Garden which are now rendered in 'Tulip Cottage' artworks, with emphasis on the pure beauty of tulips; their colours, shapes of elegance and general serendipity. There is a probability that these two paintings will not be the only ones from this idea, as it seems as soon as I finish a painting...the initial inspiration still calls.
An inspiration that came from a most unusual and colourful bouquet of tulips. Two challenges arose...firstly, was that there was nearly every colour of tulip and the other how to express the Art ..of the Tulip's essence.

Colour Legends are made prior to painting and can be quite helpful during the painting process. The colours for a specific work are selected then painted, to be used as a guide whilst painting. The key word is 'guide'as it is a reminder of the colours in mind initially which may or may not change whilst painting.
