Midnight 14th June 2022. That's the flag off for PIZZA's first Powerup Day Event. 🏁🏁🏁
And there's already quite a crowd of our regulars waiting to stake more PIZZA! (and of course, the ever excitable GIFs whilst waiting for the bot to announce it too 😜)
As you can see, there has been a flurry of Pizza Power Up messages. We've got plenty of people who took this opportunity to stake more PIZZA. What's more amazing is that this event was barely advertised, even among those of us in the Discord! 😱 I probably missed out lots of you guys whose names I don't recognize but here's a shoutout to the rest of you 🥳🥳🥳.

I recognized plenty of the names here, but there were also lots of whom I'd never seen before 😅. The Pizza Discord channel must have plenty of lurkers lying around. I wouldn't know how a relatively unpublicized event would have gotten your attention otherwise.

Now clearly, I wouldn't just spend such an amount on the PIZZA token just for the fun of it. PIZZA as a token also has significant value and growth potential.
As you can see from the price charts here, the PIZZA token is generally stable and has been on an upwards trend.
The overall crypto market has taken a beating recently ever since the Terra/Luna debacle, and was hit further once more with the Celsius meltdown in the past 2 days. Both BTC and HIVE (and all of crypto generally) has taken a massive dive in the past 2 months because of these 2 cascading events. With the US Fed hiking up the interest rates amid soaring inflation, we're possibly looking at a prolonged Bear Market. 🐻📉
It isn't all doom and gloom though. I believe a downturn like this is a good time to DCA and accumulate assets that you believe in. It'll be a slow grind with possibly nothing to show for it, with perhaps even lower prices or sideways movements. Should we weather this however, we will be primed to reap the results of our investments in the next Bull-run. 🐮📈

I can see the potential in PIZZA (and also in HIVE) and am bullish on its future prospects. As they say, diamond hands and HODL 💎🙌🏻, I intend to just hold onto my tokens and since I've no intention of cashing out anytime soon, what better way than to participate in PPUD and locking it all in.
Pizza staking offers a 12% APR interest paid out daily which is automatically staked and compounded. The table above shows you an example of how much it'll grow within a year. It'll actually adds up to 12.74% APR this way.
