When the sun dips below the horizon, something in my soul awakens
The only sunsets I don’t like are the ones I miss
The trouble with sunsets is that they have to end
A sunset that good doesn’t need a filter
A pleasant Sunday, y'all amazing people!
Today will require extensive amounts of caffeine in my blood. I already had three cups, but I need more. It has been raining, I swear, for nearly a month, and it makes me sick. Obviously, it's the rainy season here in the tropics. I am not complaining. However, you know, I was thinking recently that I ought to fabricate an ark or something and load it with all the farm animals in my neighborhood and sail off toward the distant horizon for some sunset chasing. Early in the evening yesterday, the universe heard my requests, and I saw a glimpse of the golden hour. Even for a short moment, that made me happy.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello, and let's all plan to celebrate today's small victories and blessings like sunsets and coffee. Like a community, whether it's online or in person, our genuine loved ones, friends, and family; the kindness of strangers; and so much other good stuff out there, there is good in this world. It doesn't get as much attention or as much noise as the bad. But I know it is there because, like many of you, if I can't see it, I will add as much as I can. Cheers to a great weekend!
