Potting Up My first Tomato, and Bachelor's Buttons!
This time of year, it's all hands on deck in my growing spaces! Some days, I am seeding. Some, I am potting up. Never a dull moment, I see.
WAAaaaaay back in late January, I sowed some early tomato seeds to get a first harvest of some tomato for making Salsa, and Tomato sauce, for pasta, and pizza! Check that out here, for Starting Tomato Seeds!
These early Tomato were: Ukrainian Purple Plum and Roma Tomato. Both are really good smaller tomato for making sauce. Usually, less seeds, and less watery... lots more good tomato-yumminess!
I also started some Bachelor's Button flowers. Really pretty, a light cornflower blue. Nice and attracts excellent pollinators, like bees, or butterflies. Aside form the sheer beauty, they are amazing at bring pollen from one plant to another, and that helps all my veggies, too!
Now, my wonderful seeds were going strong, but, it was getting to be time... they simply outgrew their tiny grow cells, and needed more space for more healthy roots.
It really helps me out if you subscribe to my YouTube Channel...
...and of course, if you SHARE the Video, too!
MANY Thanks!
By putting the tiny guys into larger pots, it really does make for healthier, stronger, and more productive harvests later on in summer. Check out my VIDEO, on my 2024 Tomato Potting Up:
And that makes me smile... better for the planet, better for my own family.
