Hello! This post is for the second entry of this week's Battle Mage Secrets, which is Super Sneak. In this post, we have a battle with the same summoners during the Shades of Gray ruleset, with low mana available.
Super Sneak
All melee units gain the Sneak ability.
Again, you should try to use heavy Melee attackers (if possible) during a game with the Super Sneak ruleset. If they cannot attack from the back and they have high melee damage, you should put it in your lineup. But, you should also keep in mind that your backline is not safe, so you should put units with Shield, Thorn, Retaliate (countering Melee) there.
Battle Info
Rank: Modern Novice
Avaliable Type: Earth, Death, Dragon
Mana: 22
Super Sneak: All melee units gain the Sneak ability.
FiveAlive: Up to five Units can be used.
Shades of Gray: Only Neutral Units may be used in battles.
In this battle, there are Super Sneak, FiveAlive and Shades of Gray, meaning that only 5 Neutrals are allowed in my lineup. Mana limit was kind of low, and it seemed like the units that I could use were highly limited, even with Super Sneak because of Shades of Gray.
My Lineup
Summoner: Lorkus. For the Summoner, I picked Lorkus. This battle was from a few months ago, so at that time Lorkus was really a popular meta because of Life Leech. It also gives +1 melee and +1 magic attack, enhancing my team's attacks. However, mana limit was kind of low, so I cannot give Life Leech to strong units here.
First position: Xenith Monk. For the tank, I picked Xenith Monk. It has 6 health which makes it good for the tank. It is level 1 so although it doesn't have Heal, I gave it Life Leech to give it more health.
Second position: Magi of Chaos. I went with Magi of Chaos for the second position. +1 Magic from Lorkus makes Magi of Chaos to have 3 magic attack, and it would get +2 health after it attacks with the Life Leech that I gave it using Lorkus.
Third position: Uraeus. Uraeus is just a solid Neutral card that can fit in most low mana limit battles. It already has Sneak so it won't benefit from the Super Sneak ruleset, though.
Fourth position: Xenith Archer. At the back, I spent my last 2 mana for Xenith Monk. I also could've used Venator Kinjo (and I should've used it), but I used Xenith Archer because it has 1 more health.
Battle Link: HERE
Round 1
The enemy monsters were revealed and they also went with Lorkus. However, Their lineup was different than mine. They used Moxian Rebel to benefit from the +1 magic, and also used Disintegrator to give -1 melee attack to my attackers.
After exchanging some blows, my Xenith Monk was taken down by their Magic attackers, and I damaged their Chaos Agent and Disintegrator a little bit.
Round 2
Round 2 started and Disintegrator was the first to be taken down by my Magi of Chaos. Afterwards, Magi of Chaos tanked well from their enemy Magic attackers, and Uraeus took down their Chaos Agent.
Round 3
Magi of Chaos went first and took down Scavo Hireling, and Xenith Archer took down the final unit of the enemy team, Moxian Rebel. GG!
Thoughts about this battle
Magi of Chaos really carried this game, by both attacking and defending well. They also had an aggressive lineup with Moxian Rebel, but once Disintegrator fell, they mostly had some units with low health left, and Life Leech was not able to keep them survive for long.
Thanks!
