We found this at Pets at Home. The red blocks slide which adds another level of challenge.

The plastic is really soft though..

Hahaha oh dear, the state of some of those blocks.
I can see Max getting frustrated and just crunching through the plastic.
Might give that a go and seeing if it's difficult enough for him just having food under them.
