God of War: Path to the Mountain.

God of War ²⁰¹⁸ was developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment and released worldwide for windows at January 14 2022. It's an action-adventure video game.

Path to the Mountain
Kratos beat the stranger at the door but they are not safe there anymore. Ready or not they're heading for the mountain. But first they need to escape this creepy place.

And on the highest peak in the realms, they'll scatter Atreus's mother's ashes as she wished for.

There was the path to the mountain that we need to follow and this is the starting of the journey to the mountain.

Atreus has found this path which was not like this before so the kid got surprised seeing this and this is now the path that we follows. I guess Kratos and the stranger made this path when they fought.

I started following the path while Atreus kept following me and jumped on my back where he couldn't pass through.

Then we found this cave where I boosted Atreus up so he can have a better look and then he instructed me how I can get up and after interacting with some things, I've found my way up.

After reaching the open space, Atreus has found out that there's been a protection around their entire woods all this time but the stave's broken somewhere and Atreus asked Kratos if he cut this down or not.

Kratos replied that he did it cause Atreus's mother hand-marked those trees she wished to use for her pyre.

We kept moving and we've discovered Wildwood's Edge and there were some monsters waiting for us so both Kratos and Atreus took position to start attacking.

After beating them up for some times, they were destroyed and I used the arrow shoot command of Atreus when I was attacking those monsters myself.

Then we continued moving towards the mountain which was our current objective.

There was this big mountain rock became an obstacle of our way and I needed to hold it up so Atreus can move forward and so does Kratos. It looked funny cause the obstacle was not so big that Kratos couldn't jump off and still he needed to go the other way. This is the problem of non-open world game.

And there was this wooden bridge from where Atreus could see the mountain we're going for and suddenly the kid broke a log an was about to fall down.

Kratos reached Atreus slowly and caught him. Then the bridge collapsed and both of them fell below on a surface where there were Draugr (monsters) but they were not moving at first so Atreus thought they were dead.

But no, they are not dead. They were just kind of in a hibernation mode and they wakes up and starts attacking us as soon as they gets a touch from anything. Yeah, we had to fight all of them there.

Now after fighting those Draugr, I got this new objective to escape the ruins.

Escaping the ruins: The road is full of monsters, dead men, and bad men who don't stay dead. We need to keep moving and get to the mountain.

After running for a moment, we've found this new monster called Revenant and it can disappear and reappear in different places. It sounded like witches and maybe this was a witch when it was alive.

After killing that witch, I've found a monster downwards and it kept killing me again and again. I was dying with 2-3 attacks of this monster and I kind of got bored of getting killed by this monster until I killed it. Man, I died 12 times by this single monster and the 13th turn was a success.

After fighting off more monsters, I had to unfold a bridge to go to the other side where I've found these Reavers who are actually alive peoples.

I didn't have a choice but fighting them as they're sacred and they're ready to kill us no matter what.

A reaver got Atreus and the kid killed the big man using his knife and got pissed off and scared it seemed.

Then the reavers who just died by my hand woke up as monsters and I had to fight them as well.

Atreus became silent and he looked so broke but I had to use his help to move forward.

And then we successfully escaped the ruins and came outside. Now the current objective was to continue moving towards the mountain.

Now who knows what happens in the following path? We'll check that out in another post soon.
