The weather was still comfortably warm. We had a bit of rain, a bit of sun, and plenty of fun in the first days of November 2014.
I also took plenty of photographs in those days so today's post will be a fairly long one. In this opening shot, taken in the coastal area called Marlera, a friend is watching a fishing boat passing by on its way to the nearby harbor of Liznjan.
You'll see quite a few of these coastal shots today. Here, for example, you can see a friend, a small dog called Bepina, and me sitting on the white pebbles in one of the nicest inlets in Marlera. This place is very crowded in summer. In the following photograph ...
... Bepina is pretty high in the air.
You'll also see many selfies today.
I was at the peak of my selfie mania in 2014.
I used to put various weird stuff on my head and then shoot my reflection, most often in the bathroom mirror.
Here, for example, I used my favorite white scarf and a clip-on desk lamp.
I prepared many more selfies, and I'll show you all of them today, but not right now. Now it's time to take a rest from that weird shit ...
... and return to Marlera.
Here you can see Bepina standing in the middle of the unpaved road between two large cabbage fields about fifty or sixty meters from the sea. In the following photograph ...
... you can see a bit more of that agricultural scenery.
A couple of hundred meters down the road, very close to the sea ...
... there is a vineyard.
After the harvest, you can always find small clusters of grape berries left by the people and machines that have collected the rest. In this and the previous photograph, you can see me eating those free fruits of someone's else labor.
Here you can take another look at the pebbles, the sky, and the sea, and then ...
... it's time to continue with the selfies.
As you can see in this set of four photographs, in the previous collection made of six, more or less consecutive shots, and in the single picture that follows this piece of text ...
... I was using the same white scarf in many different ways.
For this selfie, I mounted a fairly old, non-functional alarm clock on the top of the turban-like thing made of the aforementioned scarf.
Here I decorated the top with some small transparent bowl made of glass or plastic. In the following photograph ...
... you can see the same Hello Kitty-themed clock. This time I'm presenting the picture in the original greenish tinge provided by the night view option of my small, half-broken compact camera.
In this little collection, I used something made of a partially destroyed winter cap. In the following photograph ...
... I replaced the black top hat with another white wholly cap made for winter.
Here you can see a cat, for a change.
While I was taking the selfies, one of my cats was observing the scene through the clouded glass of the bathroom window.
Here you can see another cat in the makeshift cat house on the terrace, near the entrance to the house in which I live.
In these four photographs, you can see two lovely cats in my garden.
This cat was also photographed in the garden.
Under the pomegranate tree.
In this tryptich, Bepina and I are driving to the sea.
Here you can see Bepina sleeping on the kitchen floor, while in the following photograph ...
... Bepina is on the couch, partially covered with the blanket.
On the 13th of November the fairly large pond on the edge of town, a couple of hundred meters from my house, has flooded its surroundings. Here you can take a look at that unusual scene, never seen before or since that Tuesday in November.
Here you can see another selfie.
The same soft white scarf introduced earlier in the post was used in this and the previous photograph again.
In this tryptich, I'm using one of the biggest stainless steel pots from my kitchen and a red sweater that I rarely wear.
Here you can see me posing in front of the bigger, taller mirror in the hallway. I was probably ready to go buy some stuff in the grocery store when the photograph was taken.
In this selfie, you can see me wearing a plastic bowl on the top of my head.
Here I combined two similar bowls to achieve something slightly different.
The little red bowl I used for the selfie shown in this photograph was usually holding the water for the cats and Bepina.
This tryptich shows yet another coastal scene from Marlera.
Here you can see an Eriphia verrucosa crab photographed in a defensive pose.
That's all about Marlera for today.
Here you can see the morning sun above the houses in my neighborhood.
And that's it. I mean, not exactly but almost.
I have a few more selfies to show but the post will end soon.
Hope you enjoyed this random old stuff.
AS ALWAYS HERE ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK
