This is a value for value post: see the explanation in the footer.
Over the last couple of weeks I've posted about the Crypto Class Action which @apshamilton is bringing in Australia, but I've realised from comments that there are many new readers here who haven't followed the whole journey.
So this post will serve as a pointer to ways in which you can get up to speed on the story so far.
Getting Up to Speed on the Law
This post lays out the foundations of the legal case, by stepping through the specific laws which our complaint alleges Facebook and Google broke. It also goes into a bit of detail on the change to the way we run the case, vs how we were trying to run it.
The Case
If you want to see the entire case as filled the best place to look is here:
Full submissions and concise court book for upcoming interlocutory hearing on Crypto Class Action.
That links to the "Concise Court Book" which is just about every document filed so far. The submissions accompanying that were prepared for the interlocutory hearing which lead to the first judgement granting of leave to serve.
The First Judgement
That next thing to read is the first substantive judgement we got. It took two years and two judges to reach that point but the Judge presents back our case and granted us the permission to serve the case on Meta and Google in America. This was not a foregone conclusion. Because we sued two American companies (not their Australian subsidiaries) in Australia, we had to convince the court that there was merit to our case and that it could only be heard in Australia.
That post links to the full text of the judgement which you can find on jpbliberty.com
In addition, if video/audio is more your thing, I read through that whole judgement with commentary in this post:

Value for Value
For the last few months while building @v4vapp I was generously supported by the DHF. Going forward I have a much more modest support which covers direct server costs and a little of my time.
If you appreciate the work I do on and around Hive, you can express this directly: upvoting posts on Hive is great. Also consider a direct donation (there's a Tip button on Hive or a Lightning Address) on all my posts.
