Community-Based Investment Benefits

I've always been one for investing in communities. In fact, I do believe if we put our investments with the right communities then we can thrive.

That's why the Dragon's den was born. If you don't know what that is, then cast your eyes back to 2002 when we created a place where people could come and pitch to our dragons one of their project ideas for a share in their business idea. Everyone needs capital. I needed it at one point too.

That's why in 2020 I swapped out a lot of BRO with all of the smaller communities -- thinking that we could all build stronger together. It didn't work out like that of course, although I learned a valuable lesson -- which communities I should share with and which communities are still getting there.

A good indicator is surviving the bear market. That rips through a good 95% of projects out there.

But stronger together is something I really believe in. The more communities that network and share together, the better it is for all of us down here.

Look at how advertisers on mainstream platforms created a cabal of people to dictate what content gets shared and what doesn't. I mean of course they used it to nefarious ends, like censorship and such, but it took someone to literally buy twitter and push back against them to even see a momentum shift.

Everyone is always stronger together. Even when you're in competition with each other; working together makes the force in which you pace yourself at almost unstoppable.

That's why I created #thecabal in our server. Where all community projects and their managers can share their information in there and get things done a little quicker. If you're not in there and you are a project manager then hit me up and I'll add you into it. It's just for getting information around a little quicker, so we're all on the same page.

My main aim is to be an investor in people, and through that an investor in communities. But the right people and the right communities -- and that's something we'll work towards in the future as hive grows, and ultimately we grow. We'll have our tentacled fingers everywhere. Which is a good thing in my eyes.

So when you invest with us, you're not only investing for yourself, but you're investing in the hive ecosystem and all that you see around you. When we grow, other people grow as well.

It's good stuff!
