A big hello dear Splinterlands and Hivers community! I welcome you to my entry to the social media challenge where we discuss everything that has to do with this great game projecting it in spaces outside of Hive. On this occasion we will focus these lines on new players since a new function has appeared that is presented as a way to facilitate access to the gameplay: renting cards with a single click. Les doy la bienvenida a mi entrada al social media challenge donde disertamos de todo lo que tiene que ver con este gran juego proyectándolo en espacios fuera de Hive. En esta ocasión enfocaremos estas líneas en los nuevos jugadores ya que ha aparecido una nueva función que se presenta como una forma de facilitar el acceso a la jugabilidad: renta de cartas con un solo click. Last week at the last Town Hall one of the pending issues that Splinterlands had previously announced they would implement was proposed, and it is finally included in the game: the possibility of renting a whole set of cards with just 1 click. The final objective is to propose the majority of the Rebellion, Chaos Legion, Untamed sets including their reward cards to be rented.
La semana pasada en el último Town Hall se propuso uno de los pendientes en los que Splinterlands había anunciado que implementarían anteriormente, finalmente la incluye en el juego: la posibilidad de alquilar todo un set de cartas con tan solo 1 click. El objetivo final es plantear la mayoría de los sets Rebellion, Chaos Legion, Untamed incluyendo sus cartas rewards para ser alquiladas.
For me, this option is a great initiative and I hope it can evolve and be successfully integrated into the game. I am currently preparing an account for my nephew who is barely 7 years old and introducing him to Splinterlands and Hive of course. I already have several cards for him but most of them are common and rare rarity, very few are epic. So the possibility of renting a whole set saves me a lot of time to start ranking as soon as possible.
Para mi es una gran iniciativa esta opción y espero que pueda evolucionar e integrarse de forma satisfactoria en el juego. Actualmente estoy preparando una cuenta para mi sobrino que apenas tiene 7 años e introducirlo en Splinterlands y Hive por supuesto. Ya le tengo varias cartas pero la mayoría son de rareza común y raras, muy pocas son épicas. Así que la posibilidad de alquilar todo un set me ahorra una cantidad de tiempo para ponerme a rankear lo más pronto posible.
So I am going to show you how to rent a complete set of cards and start ranking in the modern format as if I were a beginner from the rookie league to see how the gameplay experience improves in ranked games.

How to rent a set with just 1 click/Como alquilar un Set con tan olo 1 click
For now, this system allows the rental of a set of cards: Chaos Legion. So to rent it, go to the market, go to the set rental tab and it will appear that we can only rent a set of cards corresponding to the Chaos Legion edition. For now it is ideal for nmi since I am with an account that does not have complete sets.

When selecting the set we can see the cards it contains and luckily for us, this set has cards from the CL and Riftwatchers editions and also rewards ranging from common to legendary cards. It is important to note that the rental period is for 22 days which costs us 1925 credits, this covers a period of 1 full season and a half.
Al seleccionar el set podemos ver las cartas que contiene y para nuestra suerte, este set tiene cartas de las ediciones CL, Riftwatchers y también rewards que van desde cartas comunes hasta legendarias. Es importante destacar que el tiempo de alquiler es por 22 días lo que nos sale a un costo de 1925 créditos, esto abarca un tiempo de 1 temporada completa y media.
With this action carried out in a few clicks, we then move on to ranking in the modern format from the rookie league. I will present you one of my most outstanding battles in this league and then we will continue with the next one which would be the bronze league.

Rookie is an excellent space to take our first steps in the game, explore the new cards, editions as well as skills. In this context, little by little I have been buying the new Rebellion summoners and one of their most distinctive features is the possibility of choosing skills for a particular monster. In this battle we will test this new mechanic.
Novato es un excelente espacio para dar nuestro primeros pasos en el juego, explorar las nuevas cartas, ediciones así como también habilidades. En este contexto poco a poco he venido comprando los nuevos invocadores Rebelllion y una de sus características más distintivas es la posibilidad de escoger habilidades para un monstruo particular. En esta batalla probaremos esta nueva mecánica.
Alineación/Alignment
🧙 Summoner/ Invocador: Prophet Rosa
In previous guides made by me, I have highlighted how powerful the water splinter has become not only in elements such as magic but also in ranged and melee attacks. For this reason we will use this Rebellion summoner to get out of the rookie league as quickly as possible. This summoner gives us the possibility of equipping 1 unit with shield or 2 units with +2 ranged damage, we will use the first skill to reinforce our tank.
En anteriores guias hechas por mi, he destacado lo poderoso que se ha vuelto el splinter de agua ya no solo en elementos como la magia ni no tambiém en ataques rango y melé. Por esta razón usaremos este invocador Rebellion para salir lo más rápido posible de la liga novato. Este invocador nos da la posibilidad de equipar a 1 unidad con shield o a 2 unidades con +2 de daño rango, usaremos la primera habilidad para reforzar a nuestro tanque.
🎴 Djinn Oshannus
It is not a melee tank but it has a huge amount of life, speed and resistance to magic damage, this makes it a perfect tank for the first position. With the summoner we will increase its resistance to physical damage and range.
No es un tanque melé pero tiene una enorme cantidad de vida, velocidad y resistencia al daño mágico, esto lo convierte en un tanque perfecto para la primera posición. Con el invocador aumentaremos su resistencia a los daños físicos y rango.
🎴 Flying Squid
We will use this unit as support for Oshannus, in case our tank is eliminated at least this unit has enough life to hold out for 1 turn while our ranged units weaken the enemy lines.
Usaremos esta unidad como soporte para Oshannus, en el caso de que nuestro tanque sea eliminado al menos esta unidad tiene vida suficiente para aguantar 1 turno mientras nuestras unidades rango debilitan las líneas enemigas.
🎴 Merdaali Guardian
To give him more support we will use Merdaali Guardian who has the tank heal ability, this will give our tank a better chance of withstanding the attacks and surviving the successive rounds.
Para darle un mayor apoyo usaremos a Merdaali Guardian que cuenta con la habilidad tank heal esto le dará mayores chances a nuestro tanque de soportar los ataques y sobrevivir a los sucesivos rounds.
🎴 Supply Runner
This is the first range unit that we will place in the fourth position. It is a neutral unit but very versatile for these situations. In fact, for the modern format this card will be essential to advance in the higher leagues.
Es la primera unidad rango que ubicaremos en la cuarta posición es una unidad neutra pero muy versátil para estas situaciones, de hecho para el formato moderno esta carta será fundamental para avanzar en las ligas superiores.
🎴 Sultry Barmaid
When I first saw the potential of the ambush ability in the new Rebellion edition, I immediately got this card. The possibility of executing an attack before starting the battle is a great advantage that I could not ignore, so this unit is a permanent fixture for my lineups with the water class.
Cuando vi por primera vez el potencial de la habilidad ambush en la nueva edición Rebellion inmediatamente me hice con esta carta. La posibilidad de ejecutar un ataque antes de comenzar la batalla es una gran ventaja que no podría ignorar, así que esta unidad es fija para mis alineaciones con la clase agua.
🎴 Sea Stalker
Our last unit is Sea Stalker with a powerful range attack, this card also has the advantage of being invisible and directing its attacks to the second row if there is a unit without attacks or with magic/range attacks.
Nuestra última unidad es Sea Stalker con un potente ataque rango esta carta tiene además la venyaja de ser invisible y dirigir sus ataques a la segunda fila si existe alguna unidad desprovisto de ataques o con ataques mágicos/rango.
⚔️ Battle/Batalla
🔥 Round 1 & 2
In the first round we managed to eliminate the Tenyii Stryker that was placed as a tank and we also weakened the Lava Spider leaving it at death's door. In the second round we dispatched the Radiated Brute, the Lava Spider and the Radiated Scorcher leaving the opponent with only 2 units while our lineup is intact.
Ya en el primer round logramos eliminar al Tenyii Stryker que fue puesto como tanque y también debilitamos al Lava Spider dejándolo a las puertas de la muerte. Ya para el segundo round despachamos al Radiated Brute, al Lava Spider y al Radiated Scorcher dejando al contrario con solo 2 unidades mientras que nuestra alineación esta intacta.
🔥 Rounds 3 & 4
With only 1 offensive unit and having the initiative of the combat we dispatched first in the 3rd round Scavo Chemist and in the 4th the Antoid Infantry in an impeccable victory. The great advantage that the use of the Prophet Rosa summoner confers stands out, I can't wait to see the advantages that the legendary summoner of the water class will offer.
Con tan solo 1 unidad ofensiva y teniendo la iniciativa del combate despachamos primeramente en el 3er round a Scavo Chemist y en el 4to al Antoid Infantry en una victoria impecable. Destaca la gran ventaja que confiere el uso del invocador Prophet Rosa, no puedo esperar a ver las ventajas que ofrecerá el invocador legendario de la clase agua.
⚔️ 2nd Battle/2da Batalla: Bronze⚔️

It didn't take us long to reach the bronze league. Here things get more complicated since many players not only have cards from the CL and Rebellion editions at high levels but also have the reward and gladius cards. On this occasion we will use another of the Rebellion summoners, one that allows us to combine 2 elements.
No nos tomó mucho tiempo llegar a la liga de bronce. Aquí las cosas se ponen más complicadas ya que muchos jugadores no solo tienen cartas de las ediciones CL y Rebellion a niveles altos sino que además cuentan con las cartas reward y gladius. En esta ocasión usaremos otro de los invocadores Rebellion, uno que nos permite combinar 2 elementos.

🎴 Summoner/ Invocador: Prunda Undervesch
Prunda Undervesch will be the summoner that will give us a significant advantage against the challenges of the Bronze League. It is a common summoner but it allows us to combine 2 different splinter, in this case water and life. With this in mind, let's see which units we will use in combination.
Prunda Undervesch será el invocador que nos dará una ventaja destacada contra los desafíos de la liga bronce. Es un invocador común pero que nos permite combinar 2 splinter diferentes, en este caso agua y vida. Con esto en cuenta, veamos entonces cuales son las unidades que usaremos en combinación.
🎴 Djinn Oshannus
Again we will use Oshannus, the reason is that in this league it is very common to see lineups using Obsidian in combination with Moxian Rebel using her weapons training ability and this was no exception. So we used our only magic resistant unit.
Nuevamente usaremos a Oshannus la razón es que en esta liga es muy común ver alineaciones usando a Obsidian en combinación con Moxian Rebel usando su habilidad weapons training y esta no fue la excepción. Así que usamos nuestra única unidad resistente a la magia.
🎴 Tide Biter
Because of the low mana limit we will use Tide Biter as support for the tank, it has a high speed and a lot of health. My advice is not to underestimate this card because at higher levels it is really strong and has abilities that make it unique!
Por el bajo limite de mana usaremos al Tide Biter como apoyo para el tanque tiene una alta velocidad y gran cantidad de vida. Mi consejo es no subestimar esta carta porque en niveles superiores es realmente fuerte y tiene habilidades que lo hacen único!
🎴 Venari Cristalsmith
Venari Crystalsmith will be our support, he is of the life class and is a better option than Meerdali Guardian since he does not have any type of attack, this card has a ranged attack and a good amount of life. We will place him in the third position.
Venari Crystalsmith será nuestro apoyo, es de la clase vida y es una mejor opción que Meerdali Guardian ya que no cuenta con ningún tipo de ataque ésta carta cuenta con ataque rango y buena cantidad de vida. Lo ubicaremos en la tercera posición.
🎴 Kulu Swimhunter
Kulu is our second offensive range unit for being level 1, this card has a large amount of health and a fairly acceptable damage for this battle.
Kulu es nuestra segunda unidad de rango ofensivo para ser de nivel 1 esta carta tiene gran cantidad de vida y un daño bastante aceptable para esta batalla.
🎴 Angelic Mandarin
Angelic Mandarin is the last unit to close our lineup, although it has low damage with its high amount of health we can cover our rearguard of cards with sneak attacks.
Angelic Mandarin es la última unidad para cerrar nuestra alineación, aunque tiene un daño bajo con su gran cantidad de vida podremos cubrir nuestra retaguardia de cartas con ataques sneak.
⚔️ Batalla/Battle
🔥 Round 1 & 2
We start the battle and our tank receives a strong round of attacks that fortunately is able to resist and with the support of the Venari Crystalsmith we have managed to replenish a good portion of its health for the next round. Meanwhile, on our part we have managed to eliminate Giant Hill. In the 2nd round we dispatched the Regal Peryton while our lineup remains firm without suffering casualties.
Empezamos la batalla y nuestro tanque recibe una fuerte ronda de ataques que afortunadamente es capaz de resistir y con el apoyo del Venari Crystalsmith hemos logrado reponer una buena porción de su salud para el siguiente round. Mientras, por nuestra parte hemos logrado eliminar a Giant Hill. En el 2do round despachamos al Regal Peryton mientras que nuestra alineación sigue firme sin sufrir bajas.
🔥 Rounds 3 & 4
In the 3rd and 4th round Oshannus reaches its resistance limit, in the meantime we eliminate the main threat: Moxian Rebel, you don't know how much I hate that card😅, later Agent of Chaos falls and in the end Goblin Psychic is eliminated by Kulu giving us the victory!
En el 3er y 4to round el Oshannus llega a su límite de resistencia, mientras tanto eliminamos la principal amenaza: Moxian Rebel, no saben como odio esa carta😂, posteriormente cae Agent of Chaos y al final Goblin Psychic es eliminado por Kulu otorgándonos la victoria!
✨Conclusiones🌊
- Although for now only cards from the Chaos Legion edition can be chosen, it is enough to build a fairly competent deck that can be complemented with Rebelleion summoners since the possibility of choosing modifiers or combining splinters offers a decisive advantage.
- Aunque por ahora solo pueden escogerse cartas de la edición Chaos Legion es suficiente para armar un mazo bastante competente que puede complementarse con invocadores Rebelleion ya que la posibilidad de escoger los modificadores o combinar splinters ofrecen una ventaja determinante.
Well friends, I hope this beginner's guide is helpful when approaching this project. As you can see, I went from rookie to bronze without much difficulty.
