Peer pressure is when you do things you won't do on a normal day because you see your friends or others doing it, it has been known to destroy some people but it has been what catapult some people to success... It depends on your circle and what they are influencing you to do.

I am a living testimony of falling for peer pressure which turned out great for me, back in 2018 when the game Splinterlands was launched, I was among the enthusiasts and when it became playable, I tried playing my first battle but I did not understand how it works, I tried to study it but still did not get it, so the frustration made me sell my cards to Xawi
.
Xawi would taunt me every day in the Neoxian city server alongside others that I was not playing Splinter Lands and even show screenshots of her rewards, at a point I could not take it anymore so I decided to try the game again since the citizens playing the game would do everything possible to taunt me for not playing it, So I bought some packs, open it and tried to play again, I won some battles and lost some but still I didn't understand the game, I did not sell my cards this time, I left it and a few months later, I bought a laptop and while exploring I decided to try the game again and this time, Everything was clear.
I did not understand because I was playing it on mobile and a lot of things were hidden, but playing it on a laptop, the view was different and that was the beginning of my journey on Splinterlands till now... If Xawi and the rest hadn't pressured me, I would have given up on the game and it would have been a great loss for me because the game contributed a great deal to my success... Sometimes some people come into our lives to taunt us into success but at that point, they are doing it you won't understand.

Another time peer pressure worked to my advantage was when I was in secondary school, I had this way of shocking myself and other students in my first week in a new school, my brain would start functioning better than I imagined which made everyone notice me and the moment I get noticed, I started to lose interest in studying and focus on playing more with my new friends which in the end makes my academic performance drop badly...
When I was in secondary school[ss1] the same thing happened but luckily my junior secondary school buddy also gained admission to the school earlier than me, He joined a study group. I was impressed with their clique and how they read together and bombarded themselves with questions, I was invited by my friend to join them. However, I did not immediately cos I was still going astray with my new friends who love playing football. Still, fortunately, a few weeks later, the school decided to group us into our various departments, and most of my footballer friends went to the art department but I was interested in the science department and that was how we were separated and I joined the study group which helped me with my academic performance.
