APIZZA civil war this go around with PIZZA 4 and PIZZA 3 matched up
š² Brawl Report š²
I wanted to share my Brawl report as my Social Media Challenge this week because I feel the addition of Merits to rewards chests makes guilds even more rewarding. Hopefully seeing not only some of the fun in the battles below, but the rewards too, will convince some not already in a guild to join the fun.
Oh and this Brawl contains some PIZZA civil war with PIZZA 3 matched up against us this time around.
| Tarsa v Quix ā I've been squaring off against Quix more often in Modern, it was interesting to start off the Brawl against him as well. Tarsa's buff helped me more than Quix's debuff hurt. Nice way to get things started. Win (1ā0) |  |
| Tarsa v Thaddius ā Tarsa is one of my favorites, but I haven't been using her as much of late. Nice to get her into play for two early wins. I love using the Grum and Chimney combo. With Blast those two were unstoppable! Win (2ā0) |  |
| Tarsa v Sloan ā I think I overplayed Tarsa š There goes my shot at an undefeated Brawl, next time. Not having armor was tough and my opponents team tore through Grum and Chimney. Loss (2ā1) |  |
| Kelya v Kelya ā Similar thoughts by both myself and my opponent. My level four Keyla just outclassed my opponents level one. Win (3ā1) |  |
| Thaddius v Kelya ā Thaddius is quickly becoming my go to summoner for low to mid level mana counts. This was my first time using Bayne in a fight and he turned out to be a great beefy tank. Win (4ā1) |  |
| Quix v Obsidian ā Quix is not my strongest play, but with the rulesets and available splinters I thought I had a shot. I still am renting Quix because I'm not sold on him being a great buy. Loss (4ā2) |  |
šš My last two opponents fled for a final count of 6ā2! I don't want to jinx myself, but my worries of not having many battles has been without warrant the past two Brawls. I'm happy to be on a win streak and contributing to the guild! šš
The 462 merits for finishing fifth puts me just shy of 500 merits from my next gladius pack. Adding Gladius cards to my repertoire has added wins to my Brawl fights, but also increased my CP and allowed me to recently move into the Gold League without renting in Modern. If that isn't reason enough to find a solid guild and start earning merits, I don't know what is. It is becoming clear with the new rewards structure that being in the highest league possible is the best path to better rewards.
