Splinterlands — Share Your Battle Challenge
One of My Favorite Rulesets
Little League takes all of the heavy hitters off the table and forces me to dig deep and consider how each of the cards and abilities are going to synergize. Playing a big guy such as Grum or Uriel can hide a deficiency and I tend to learn less from those battles.

Sloan v Thaddius |
Why Sloan?
With the three choice of Life, Water or Death I like Death and Life for low mana battles. Thinking my opponent would lean towards Thaddius based upon past battle choices I opted to go for Sloan
Card | Notes |
---|---|
A nice tank for low mana, particularly if my opponent has a few magic attackers. | |
Amplify to increase the damage magic reflect from Conjurer. | |
Three melee attack for only three mana and the ability to attack the back line. | |
Two melee attack for two mana and Opportunity. Plus Flight to possibly help dodge some attacks if necessarry | |
Antother great reward card. Tank heal will help keep Conjurer reflecting away if my strategy works. Plus with Sloan's buff a 3 range attack. | |
Keep the reward cards coming 😀 Some armor and good melee attack to protect the back. |
My Opponent did go with Thaddius
That's a lot of gold 😲 Lucky for me there is two magic attackers in there.
Round 1 - Right out of the gate Conjurer essentially negates Bonesmiths' Life Leech with Magic Reflect and Crystalsmith takes out Carrion Shade (Oh and heals Conjurer 😀). My opponent's Riftwing gains a health from Scavenge and moves into the tank position. Revealer is taken out by a combination of Uraeus, Magic Reflect and Harpy. Leech takes out Soul Strangler with one punch. The only thing my opponent has positive in round one is Riftwing sitting at eight health, but that is only because half their team was taken out 😀
Round 2 - Good to know that Magic Reflect still works even when Conjurer is stunned. I learned something new! My opponent is able to take out my Uraeus but thanks to Magic Reflect negating Life Leech I am able to take out Bonesmith. And Stitch is able to finish the round by taking out my opponents Uraeus. Not much my opponent can do now but wait to be defeated.
Round 3 - If my opponent had a higher level Riftwing the RNG gods could save him with some Backfire damage, but in without it they are a sitting duck. It takes one more round, but this fight is over once my opponent cannot fight back.
