Man I remember I got this challenge before and was struggling to look for a suitable battle but this time I have came in prepared in advance and ready to share the Battle Mages Secrets
Little League
- Only units and summoners with a mana cost of 4 or less may be used
Well that's it, while we love to onboard monsters into the battle field having Ton of Health/Defense or Heavy Damage. Low Mana monsters aren't as relevant in term of stats or abilities BUT never be neglected.
A low Mana monster that have a LOT of impact is this Promo Card:
Okayish stats but that crazy combination of abilities makes it one of the most contested cards (before the emergence of Rebellion).
The combo of Affliction + Poison is deadly on any Frontliner!
Without further ado, let's get rolling
- Mid Mana Cap 36 Mana
- Earth, Life, Dragons Available
- Weak Magic & Little League Rulesets
So this is the team I went for:
Summoner
Ability: -1 Speed & -1 Ranged Damage
Since we are limited by the mana, it's best to broaden the Monsters pool at our disposal in order to be competitive in this ruleset.
Besides the Speed advantage, Dragons have some interesting low mana Monsters:
The Tanks
Both these frontliners will serve to absorb the frontal damage. Hill Giant got enough health and can deal some damage (2 Melee) While KraAr will bump up its health thanks to the Scavenger ability especially if my damage dealers o their job!
Damage Dealers
Both these monsters have the Sneak Ability thus infiltrating the backline for serious 6 damage (2+2 for Dhampir double strike & 2 from Uraeus) allowing for a fast Scavenger rate for my Kraar and while being in the middle of the comp safe from any counter sneak attacks
Adding some variation, this time with an Opportunity attacker that targets the lowest health monster and a potential Snare in case facing an annoying flying monster.
Backline
It got 2 Jobs: First putting it as a Sneak Counter to waste their damage on its whopping 8 Armor, second is to provide an additional *Speed Advantage to my team with the Swiftness ability.

Pre Round 1
It seems that the opponent went for a similar lineup, going for a couple of speed manipulation and putting a sneak counter but still not too strong for any frontal damage.
Round 1
- Not much going on this round, both sneak counter are receiving the damage as I could make it up in an advantageous situation despite the level diff since 3 of my monsters attacked it!
- Funny how my Hill Giant hit a 60% evasive chance Pelacor Conjurer, probably the last :D
Round 2
- Ally Dhampir Infiltrator scored the First Blood on The Clockwork Aide
- Following by Whelp Herder taking down the Enemy Dhampir Infiltrator
- Seems like to tides have turned!
Round 3 + 4
- Dhampir Infiltrator on a hot streak, firing another deadly strike to the Venari Wavesmith
- Whelp herder beggins the job of hunter Time Mage and Uraeus was up for the Takedown
- Again on the 4th Round, Dhampir double Strike into Xenith Monk leaving it with a couple of Helath then Whelp herder was on duty to Snare and Takedown the Pelacor Conjurer
- Xenith Monk riposted by taking donw the Giant Hill but finds out he have to face a wall of Xaar Xoc
Last Round
A couple of strikes were enough from Uraeus and Dhampir Infiltrator to defeat the Monk before it had the chance to heal and clinch a sweet VICTORY

After Battle Commentary
- It wasn't an intense battle but the fact of planning a strategy and not have the damage scattered on multiple targets wasq the key to win this battle
- The Water team, OP overall, got pretty decent Low Mana Monsters that can put the weight against strong other elements monsters!
