As many of you know, and if you don't - my Gold Foil drop rate is excruciatingly low :(
I truly believe in Splinterlands - I believe in it so much, I'm working with the local Comic Con to host a live event in the coming months... but that's a story for later.
The story thus far:
- My friend and I have bought a shitload of packs... Like... A LOT... How many?
Something like 10k packs between us... with my personal stake being about 4k. It was 3,306 to be exact, up to this point... but I bought 600+ more before Carnage Titan so I could snag another one :P
Per Splinterlands: "1 Carnage Titan is GUARANTEED for every 525 Packs Purchased, with FOUR PERCENT (4%) being a Gold Foil (1 in 25)"
By my calculations that puts my main account at: 3,306/525 = 6.29 and my alt at 1+ guaranteed for a total of at least 7... this would give me odds of abou... -
Of the 63 Airdrop Legendaries I have received to this point... I have ONE Gold Foil to show for it... that's 1.587% vs the "claimed" 4%.
I've seen people, including TWO of my FOUR original guildies receive TWO Gold Foils or more, thus far.
One of them received 1 on his alt account with ~300 packs and one of them has received TWO GFL Airdops w/ only 500 packs purchased total.
- As such, I was SALTY AS FUCK and I am still pretty fucking sore over it but hey - I'm just gonna get one of each GF Summoner to make up for it, right...? RIGHT 😠
So, with the Carnage Titan airdrop RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER... we must ask... Will the Salty Saga continue??? Or will I receive a Gold Foil Carnage Titan(s) to help assuage the pain and bitterness I feel for investing as much as I have... only to be shit on by the RNG 🤷♂
Before you say anything along the lines of "be happy bro, you got a bunch of Legendaries"... Please understand - I am happy. Happy for a lot of things...
But when you consider just 1 GF Grum, like those my two guildies got are worth MORE than the TWELVE Regular Grum I received... kind of makes you go hmmmmmmmmm...
Anyways - I have woosaa'd most of the Salt out of my system...
However... as we approach the newest member of the Airdrop Legos... I can feel the ol' SaltMonster as creeps up from the shadows... poised over my shoulder, ready to cackle at my misfortune.
In the end - I am not asking for 50% of my cards to be GFLs... or even a drop rate of 5% GFLs...
I just want the 4% that was stated - or I shall be extremely salty...
I suspect the 8 millionth pack will sell in the next 48 hours... so we shall see...
Will the Salt prevail? Will I get a GF Carnage Titan? Will I continue to receive nothing so I may receive ONE OF EACH Legendary Summoner?!?!
