Homeless weekend
You are homeless for the weekend in a strange city with no family or friends to assist you - You have no money, and no possessions - just the clothes on your back. What do you do and why? Write at least 350 words to explain your thoughts, decisions, and actions
There is a proverb that is often said in my state and my dialect, which says, "Someone's brother can be found outside". It means that a total stranger could be your helper and most times better than someone we are blood-related with.
We all know that the world is such a terrible and frightening place to be that many nice people have stopped being nice because of what they have passed through in the hands of people they decided to help and so, we have rare few ones who are willing to give out helps without asking for something in return but notwithstanding, I am sure we have people who would not.
At first, it is going to be difficult to accept that I am homeless for the weekend in a strange city with no family or friends to assist me, neither do I have money, or possessions just the clothes on my back.
But one thing that would be on my mind at that moment is to get a place to lay my head on and that means begging even though that may be difficult to do but at that moment, I just have to close my eyes and beg, just maybe I may end up meeting a good Samaritan who would be willing to let me stay in their space for the weekend.
I wouldn't mind if it means doing the chores or working for the person while I stay in their space and they feed me throughout the weekend.
This is my entry although it is close to the end of the prompt I had to submit it because I already started writing it the night before I slept off.
