Helloooo with carnival dates approaching today I want to remember a very nice time, when my nephew would visit us every time there was a vacation. During carnival time we had a lot of activities to do since my youngest daughter @bethyjade was in her school band, I was a collaborating mother along with other representatives, so we were constantly going back and forth helping with the logistics of the band. The city of San Diego in Venezuela, close to Valencia always organized lavish carnival parades, full of color, comparsas, costumes and spectacular floats, so we did not miss the opportunity to go to see the whole parade and later, during the night, to support my daughter in the band.
Holaaaa a propósito de las fechas de carnaval que se acercan hoy quiero recordar una época muy linda, cuando mi sobrino nos visitaba cada vez que había vacaciones. Durante la época de carnaval teníamos muchas actividades por hacer ya que mi hija menor @bethyjade estaba en la banda de su colegio, yo era madre colaboradora junto con otras representantes, así que constantemente estábamos de un lado a otro ayudando con la logística de la banda. La ciudad de San Diego en Venezuela, cercana a Valencia siempre organizaba unos fastuosos desfiles de carnaval, llenos de color, comparsas, disfraces y carrozas espectaculares, así que nosotros no perdíamos la oportunidad de ir a ver todo el desfile y posteriormente, durante la noche, apoyar a mi hija en la banda.
I will not deny that during the day the sun was relentless but we were always prepared with everything we needed such as sunglasses or hats, but above all with water, lots of water to avoid dehydration. When we managed to grab a spot in the bleachers it was better because we could appreciate the parade comfortably, and that helped us to save strength to accompany the rest of the parade when it was the turn of the show band. It's a pity that I don't have many pictures of the show band, but I will do my best to get some, I will tell my daughter to ask her friends to see if they have any pictures.
No voy a negar que durante el día el sol era implacable pero siempre estábamos preparados con todo lo necesario como lentes de sol o gorras, pero sobre todo con agua, mucha agua para evitar la deshidratación. Cuando logábamos agarrar puesto en las gradas era mejor porque podíamos apreciar el desfile cómodamente, y eso nos ayudaba a guardar fuerzas para acompañar al resto del desfile cuando fuese el turno de la banda. Es una lástima que no tenga muchas fotos de la banda, pero haré lo posible por conseguir algunas, le voy a decir a mi hija que le pregunte a sus amigos a ver si conservan algunas fotos.
This picture is from another day, as you can see, during the night there were a lot more people, besides we were near the mayor's box, where usually the comparsas and bands usually do their shows. I remember that the band of Don Bosco school (to which my daughter belonged) was one of the most successful along with the band of La Salle school, and their shows were always very well remembered, people were screaming for them to continue performing, and no matter how tired the boys were the show continued, it was a very nice time.
Esta foto es de otro día, como pueden ver, durante la noche había muchísima más gente, además estábamos cerca del palco del alcalde, donde normalmente las comparsas y bandas suelen hacer sus shows. Recuerdo que la banda del colegio Don Bosco (a la que pertenecía mi hija) era una de las más exitosas junto con la banda del colegio La Salle, y sus shows siempre fueron muy recordados, la gente pedía a gritos que siguieran actuando, y por más cansados que estuviesen los muchachos el show continuaba, era una época muy linda.
