Hello to everyone in the Photography Lovers community! Today I join you after some time, to share with you a new publication dedicated to my city of Guayana through photography. Being the more specific location, Bolivar state in Venezuela. It is one of the main areas of my country where they are engaged in the extraction / processing / production of natural resources such as iron, bauxite, gold, granite, diamonds and others. Since it is a land rich in minerals and natural bounties, many companies settled here to take advantage of all this and transformed Puerto Ordaz into a prosperous city. Today's pictures belong to Sunday, yesterday when the night was falling around 5:30 in the evening and the city seemed to say goodbye to all of us. An industrial city.
These last few weeks have been very hot in my city. This is natural as we are in a very humid area thanks to its forests and rivers. Which has its benefits. On Sunday the city seemed to be hotter than ever and only when the night started to fall did the temperatures start to drop and we could feel a bit of relief. In fact you can see in the pictures that haze that is left behind when the heat waves are seen from a long distance away. Walking around Guayana, even when the sun has gone down a little, is not very pleasant. It is strange because even though it is a more or less new city, you still get the feeling that you are in a purely industrial area with a few residential buildings and not much else.
I like the tones that have been reflected in these photographs, they tell of an atmosphere that anyone can perceive without needing to know the place. Warmth is the order of the day thanks to its yellows, sepias, ochres and blues close to their complementary. Steam, city, rivers, heat, symmetry, desert, jungle and solitude. In fact, you will notice that there are no passers-by in some of the images I have shared. They have all gone indoors to wait for nightfall and cool down a bit. I have also tried to look for some symmetry and order in what I have in my hands, so, I hope you liked this work. Without further ado, thank you very much for stopping by and visiting my blog. See you next time.
