Hello to everyone in the Womentribe community! Today I join the community to participate in the initiative of @yolimarag who this time encourages us to talk about three important moments of our lives. I have chosen three moments from my past that proudly accompany me to this day. So, with that said I will take the moment to invite @aliciarodriguez , @lenkealfonzo and @sacra97. ¡Hola a todos en la comunidad de Womentribe! El día de hoy me uno a la comunidad para participar en la iniciativa de @yolimarag quién en esta oportunidad nos alienta a hablar sobre tres momentos importantes de nuestras vidas. He elegido tres momentos de mi pasado que me acompañan con orgullo hasta el día de hoy. Así que, dicho esto aprovecharé el momento para invitar a @aliciarodriguez , @lenkealfonzo y @sacra97. Ahora ¡comencemos con ello!
My Graduation
One of the most special moments of my life was being able to attend my graduation ceremony to receive my degree in Education mention in Visual Arts. It was in the year 2022 and I really waited for that moment for many years. When I finished my high school, I immediately began to study at the University of Carabobo (2015). At that time, I calculated that by 2020 I would be ready with my degree in hand. Unfortunately things were not like that, since my university went through several stoppages, internal problems with the semesters and the arrival of the quarantine (just the year I was supposed to graduate). With everything against me, I must say that it was a great satisfaction to achieve this goal. A personal achievement that compares to few things.
Mí Graduación
Uno de los momentos más especiales de mi vida fue el poder asistir a mí acto de graduación para recibirme cómo Licenciada en Educación mención Artes Plásticas. Fue en el año 2022 y realmente esperé por ese momento por muchos años. Cuando yo terminé mi bachillerato, inmediatamente comencé a estudiar en la Universidad de Carabobo (año 2015). Para ese momento, yo calculaba que para el año 2020 estaría lista con mí título en mano. Lamentablemente las cosas no fueron así, ya que mí universidad paso por varios paros, problemas internos con los semestres y la llegada de la cuarentena (justo el año en el que debía graduarme). Con todo en contra, debo decir que fue una satisfacción muy grande lograr esta meta. Un logro personal que se compara a pocas cosas. Mamá estaba orgullosa.
My first participation in an Art Exhibition
Another of my interests besides Education, was painting. Finally it all started there. The first time I participated in an art exhibition was when I was in the Painting/Drawing Workshop at the Arturo Michelena School of Plastic Arts. At that time, 2015-2016, I had never participated in anything like an exhibition. I felt a lot of motivation when we were told that all of us in the course should present at least about 4 pictorial works. So we were all very happy about that and we tried to give our best for the arrival of that moment. We presented our works at MUVA and we couldn't feel more proud of it. That was the first step to understand that I could show my work, leave the sorrow aside and be proud of my work.
Mí primera participación en una Exposición de Arte
Otro de mis intereses además de la Educación, eran la pintura. Finalmente todo comenzó por alli. La primera vez que participe en una exposición de arte fue cuando cursaba el Taller de Pintura/Dibujo de la Escuela de Artes Plásticas Arturo Michelena. Para ese momento, año 2015-2016, yo jamás había participado en algo parecido a una exposición. Sentí mucha motivación cuando nos dijeron que todos en el curso deberíamos presentar al menos unos 4 trabajos pictóricos. Así que todos estábamos muy felices por eso y tratamos de dar lo mejor para la llegada de ese momento. Presentamos nuestros trabajos en el MUVA y no podíamos sentirnos más orgullosos de ello. Ese fue el primer paso para entender que podía enseñar mi trabajo, dejar la pena de lado y enorgullecerme de mí trabajo.
Meeting other countries for the first time
I know this may be something trivial for some people where traveling is a constant in their lives, but for me who had never left my country, it was quite an amazing event. It felt like an awakening. I am a homebody, I like my home, my family and despite the political, economic and social circumstances (Venezuela), I like my country. So when I got to know Colombia and the United States I felt a little overwhelmed by how different everything was around me. And I say this for the best, because I understood why many of my friends/acquaintances had decided to live abroad. Normality is a privilege in my country, something that in almost any other country is typical. There I understood that phrase "to know the world" and "to open my eyes". Everything changes is good and something in me changed.
Conocer otros paises por primera vez
Sé que esto puede ser algo trivial para algunas personas dónde viajar sea una constante en su vida, pero para mí que nunca había salido de mí país, fue un hecho bastante sorprendente. Se sintió cómo un despertar. Soy una persona hogareña, me gusta mi casa, mi familia y a pesar de las circunstancias políticas, económicas y sociales (Venezuela), me gusta mí país. Por lo que cuando conocí Colombia y Estados Unidos me sentí un poco abrumada por cuan diferente era todo a mi alrededor. Y esto lo digo para bien, pues entendí el porqué muchos de mis amigos/conocidos habían decidido hacer vida afuera. La normalidad es un privilegio en mi país, cosa que en casi cualquier otro es algo típico. Allí comprendí esa frase "conocer mundo" y "abrir los ojos". Todo cambia es bueno y algo en mí cambio.
Finally, my friends, these have been three of the most important moments in my life. Two of them go more to the field of my education and my personal fulfillment in terms of my talents/passions and the other is a little more about a moment that made me reflect on my life decisions and future. Finalmente amigas mías, estás han sido tres momentos más importante en mí vida. Dos de ellos van más al ámbito de mí educación y mí realización personal en cuanto mis talentos/pasiones y el otro es un poco más sobre un momento que me hizo reflexionar sobre mis decisiones de vida y el futuro. Cada una tiene un peso. Sin más que decir, muchísimas gracias por pasar por aquí y leer mí publicación. Les envío un fuerte abrazo.
