Hello to everyone in the Top Family community! Today I'm joining today to participate in the TBT Thursday contest. As usual, today is a day to remember moments from the past and this time I'm sharing with you a new photo with a very heartfelt anecdote for me. Before we start I would like to invite @estefanimarquez and @oldmanzg, two great friends who are new to the Hive platform and who may be interested in the contest. Let's start with it.
The two people you see in the picture are my grandmother Hilda (on the left) and her best friend, Nati (on the right). The day the photograph was taken was 23 January 2012, my grandmother's birthday. For that night, the whole family gathered to surprise my grandmother, who had gone out with my cousin and would soon return to find her children, grandchildren, friends and neighbours at her house. When she arrived home she was very surprised and it was nice to see her so happy with her loved ones. This was a special birthday as she was celebrating her 83rd birthday. So although it was not usual to have this kind of family gathering (let's say there were some internal conflicts), everyone made an effort to be present and to please my grandmother.
But another fact about this photograph is that it would be the last time we would be able to record a photograph of my abuelita with her best friend because on the 4th of February 2015, my grandmother passed away. It was so abrupt and unexpected that to this day it still hurts like that day. My grandmother was very loved and precious in the family. Personally, she was like a second mother to me. So her departure was felt everywhere, including Mrs. Nati (to whom she answered as Natividad) who for many years had been accustomed to fetch my grandmother to go to mass and other activities; now she did not have her faithful companion. I keep all the good things about her, so I hope to be able to honour her name as long as I live. Without further ado, thank you very much for stopping by.

¡Hola a todos en la comunidad de Top Family! El día de hoy me uno por aquí para participar en el concurso de Jueves de TBT. Cómo es de costumbre, hoy es día para recordar momentos del pasado y en esta oportunidad comparto con ustedes una nueva fotografía con una anécdota bastante sentida para mí. Antes de comenzar quisiera invitar a @estefanimarquez y @oldmanzg, dos grandes amigos que son nuevos en la plataforma de Hive y quienes pueden estar interesados en el concurso. Comencemos con ello.
Las dos personas que ven en la fotografía son mi abuela Hilda (a la izquierda) y su mejor amiga, Nati (a la derecha). El día en el que tomaron la fotografía fue un 23 de Enero de 2012, día de cumpleaños de mi abuelita. Para ese noche, toda la familia se reunió para darle una sorpresa a mi abuela, quién había salido con mi prima y pronto volvería para encontrar a sus hijos, nietos, amigos y vecinos en su casa. Cuando ella llegó a casa quedó muy sorprendida y fue bonito verla así de feliz junto a sus seres queridos. Este fue un cumpleaños especial pues ella recibía sus 83 años de edad. Por lo que aunque no era usual hacer este tipo de encuentros en familia (digamos que había ciertos conflictos internos), todos hicieron un esfuerzo para estar presentes y agradar a mi abuela.
Pero otro hecho de esta fotografía es que sería la última vez que podríamos registrar una fotografía de mi abuelita junto a su mejor amiga pues un 4 de Febrero de 2015, mi abuela falleció. Fue tan abrupto e inesperado que a día de hoy sigue doliendo cómo ese día. Mi abuela era muy amada y valiosa en la familia. Personalmente, para mí era cómo una segunda madre. Así que su partida se sintió en todos lados, incluyendo la señora Nati (a quién respondía cómo Natividad) quién por muchos años se había acostumbrado a buscar a mi abuela para ir a la misa y otras actividades; ahora no tenía a su fiel acompañante. Me quedo con todo lo bueno de ella, así que espero poder honrar su nombre mientras tenga vida. Sin más que decir muchísimas gracias por pasar por aquí.
